  1. Morning Jase , morning all . Much milder today . damp and windy .
  2. No problem 🙂. Re the chainsaw for cutting your logs to lenght . The world is your lobster really . Firstly what is your budget ? secondly what size ( diameter ) are the logs you want to cut ? This is just a stab but it could be anything from a " home owner " 30cc saw to a full on pro saw of , say 60cc . We need more info . Sorry about the initial flippent post but I felt the need to see if you were a real person . There have been a few " bots " on here posting stuff of a similar kind . Please forgive me . @Chainsaw Mad Man .
  3. You would be better off getting an axe . Chainsaws are not much good at chopping . They saw quite well though .
  4. Piston looks a bit scuffed up and maybe the ring is stuck . So it has nipped up . The bore is probably salvageable at a guess . New OEM or aftermarket piston OEM gudgeon pin clips and remove any aluminum transfer from the bore with brick acid or similar . Light hone . This is all guess work though without seeing the bore . Edit : Oh and find out what caused it in the first place , bad/old mix or air leak from somewhere . Fix that or you will be here again .
  5. Did I hear this correctly ? Donald Trump has accused Ukraine of starting the war ??? I don't get it .
  6. Good stuff Jake . How far up the slope to the landing ?
  7. Morning all . Still cold here with patchy frost .
  8. I remember in 1963 riding my bike on Chichester canal . I was 10 . 🙂
  9. Its the piston skirt you need to have a gander at .
  10. I shot a couple of rats yesterday from my bathroom window whilst sitting on the can 🙂
  11. Hi Rustington . Just curious but do you live in Rustington , near Littlehampton ?
  12. Sounds like it has nipped up . Did it over rev slightly just before it stopped ? Could be and air leak causing it to run lean . All speculation until you get a look at the piston .
  13. Especially if that center grain has gone helical . If its been dead for sometime it will be like concrete . Mechanical assistance advised .
  14. Then do you think we would get urban wolves like the foxes ?
  15. Morning all . -1c slight frost. Have a good one .
  16. I remember mu Uncle Bob ( one of my Mums two brother ) having to go periodically into hospital to have fragments of shrapnel that eventually came to the surface , removed . He died in the end , as we all will .
  17. Conifer roots are generally pretty shallow and birch don't get very big . He needs to be more specific in terms of what he thinks the influence might be .On the one hand you might get some little birch seeds here and there to the other extreme damage to foundations , drains and subsidence . The latter is very unlikely though .
  18. Also didn't they ( the Luftwaffe ) drop one or two tenpenny ones on Coventry and London . Just saying ..
  19. This . They tried the Nato stuff and it was not suited to the war they were fighting . They ( the Ukrainians ) are innovative and clever . I am not sure we could have adapted so quickly or made such an impact on overwhelming numbers .
  20. Possibly . Something in me is not comfortable with the thought of donkeys getting shot or blown up . Ilogical I know but ...
  21. Due to equipment ( vehicular ) losses Russia is now using donkeys to transport ammo and kit to soldiers on the front line .
  22. Good morning all . 0c and cloudy ( again ) here .
