  4. I have one of the older Husqvarna 3 series single sided cutters that is very good . A mate who I was working with ( cutting yew for a french pharmaceutical company ) said he thought , from the sound that I was using a chain saw so he came to check !

  9. Morning all . 3c bit of a breeze making it feel less . Dry so far .
  10. Its not so crucial if its split fairly soon after felling . If you dry the birch bark out it makes good fire lighters .
  11. You should strip the bark from Birch if not splitting it as soon as its felled . Its the bark on birch that traps the moisture in and it rots from the inside out .

  21. Also , strip a machine that's run on alkylate fuel from the get go and strip a similar machine that has been run on pump fuel for the same length of time . There you will see a difference .
