  1. Morning Doug , morning all . 4c and heavy showers here .
  2. Picture this . (UK) Drop zone . coming out from each side . Big red and white plastic barriers , cones then foot path closed sign . Bloke jogging ignores the foot path closed sign , dodges the cones then vaults the red and white barrier . Jogs on through the "kill " zone goes to vault the next plastic barrier , catches his foot , trips and face plants . Picks himself up jogs on round the cones and the other foot path closed sign . I take my hat off and throw it on the ground in disbelief . Luckily I had shouted up to Steve in the tree about the suicidal idiot . No one likes to be inconvenienced and would rather risk their life than go out of their way by a couple of yards .
  3. Who would be the beneficiary in the will ?
  4. I may be wrong but I thought it was only in certain parts of the country where it was ethanol free ?
  5. The first issue of 201 could fly out of the tree after 10 mins of perseverance .
  6. That is a good point as it stands but , could it end up like the roads , the more you build the more cars there are , foxes , you shoot one another fills the vacuum sorta thing ?

  14. I have a 2t bottle that I bought from DM Chainsaws back in 1857 . I still use it to this day as it has the graduations on it for mixing at 50:1 . Its just that now a days it gets filled with Red Line 2T racing oil and I mix it with Husqvarna alkylate fuel .
  15. Understood spaceman , understood . 😉
  16. Soz . I thought you said " A 60cc saw is what I would use " ....
  17. I could do that but I wouldst coz I have some big saws 🙂
  18. If it starts best on no choke from cold possibly its set a bit rich . Maybe the metering arm needs adjusting .
  19. Middle pic is goat willow me thinks .
  20. Probably , but its not the ethanol attacking the rubber its the petrol itself . All the ethanol does is attract moisture as it is hygroscopic .
  21. Oi oi then . Gusty wind still . Heavy showers on and off . 9c .
  22. Its not really the alkylate fuel ruining the rubber components . All its doing is showing up what the pump fuel has slowly been doing . As you know if you run a machiene on alkylate fuel from the get go there are no problems . The rubber components have a coating on them to keep them supple . The pump fuel slowly attacks the rubber removing the coating but because it is attacking the rubber it stays supple until it eventually disintegrates . Because alkylate fuel does not attack the rubber , if you use it after prolonged pump fuel use its coating is gone and it becomes brittle . Thats why some people think its the alkylate fuel causing it but its not .
