  1. You say you have no Problem with removing the stump . Is it just a stump and the rest of the tree is already gone ? If it is then I doubt just the stump would cause further problems unless ( if indeed it has in the first instance ) it coppices and sprouts . You also mention subsidence and heave in the same post . Its one or the other not both .
  2. All day long and twice on Sunday !
  3. I would have thought this would not be a factor provided you keep the stove door shut . Any cold air movement would just go into the stove body and up the flu . Probably not move at all though .
  4. Phew ! I think it was me who posted colder air is denser so contains more O2 per volume than hotter air . I have no proof that this aids combustion though . I was thinking in terms of the super charger on the front of an old Berkin 4 liter Bently forcing more air in to the enging there fore more O2 . Regards the outside air connection bringing cold air into the room when the stove is not alight . Firstly if the stove is not alight its probably not cold out side ? secondly it should be sealed , from the stove entry to the outside should be a pipe so it would only allow cold air into the stove not the room ( assuming you have the stove door shut ) . Having said all that I have a nominally 5kw stove ( I think it punts out about 7 or 8 on full chat ) and I don't have a direct out side air source . Enough air comes in through the dog flap in the back room wall . @carbs for arbs
