    How to check rpm

Tinytach will do just what you want, I use the fast tach http://www.tinytachuk.com/HHnew.php
  3. Get a can of aspen and run that through it. Always store mine with aspen in, no problems with fuel going stale/gunky or diaphragms drying out if left empty.
  4. Basically a 2 part glue. Think araldite on steroids. Lots of different types around, most come in a tube like silicon and mix themselves as you squirt them out. Just drill a hole, blow out the dust, inject the dunk and and push in the fixing of your choice. I use threaded bar most of the time as you can just cut the right length to go through your post and them into the stone/block/brick, a lot easier than trying to find a fixing the right length to go through a 6" post and then I to the wall. Lots on tool station, I generally use the cheapest but then I'm a cheapskate😁 http://www.toolstation.com/shop/Screws+Fixings/Chemical+Fixings/d90/sd1960 Oh BTW once you've used a nozzle once and its set in the nozzle then you have to throw it away so best to get some spares and try and prepare all the holes before you start injecting.
  5. Threaded bar fixed with chemical anchor
  6. Only time I got involved with a big site it was a nightmare, as fencers we were in towards the end of the build and everyone was pushing to get finished so were tripping over each other, dumping stuff in the way etc. Lost 3 hours just cos someone had dumped their van in the way and buggered off. Might be worth putting something in the quote that if you can't get on with the job because of someone else's fault that you get compensated/standing time, especially if you're on low margins anyway.
  7. If a company offers me this sort of deal (no matter what trade) I never take it, they've had a chance to quote so have, in theory given there best quote first time round. I'd always support the guy that gave the best quote first time, its not as if the other company is going to come back hundreds of pounds cheaper and if they do then they really won't get the work as it just shows they were way over first time round
  8. Looks like a good solution to their situation, may not work for all though.
  9. Agree with this, may well apply to many other things as well.
  10. Good point that, make sure its on the 1.1mm as a 14" bar is slow enough without the saw having to take a thicker kerf.
  11. Used to run a 171 for fencing and light domestic work, tried many chains and kept coming back to the stihl picco micro, just seemed to out perform all the alternatives.
  12. Hey Jon! Just lit mine for the first time since last winter. Wet and windy outside nice and cosy in here.
  13. Might be teaching my grandmother to suck eggs but you did make sure the woodruff key is locating the flywheel properly didn't you
  14. 25 results for Petter starting handle on eBay ATM. Don't know if any of them are the right one
  15. Had some rhodie up here tight against the road, several tagged as infected to be removed. Council verge trimmer came along and took them back 10" nice and neat then carried on spreading phytophthora all around the area!
  16. Well done, great looking boards there. Now you have the potential to make some great garden benches which should sell at a premium due to them being a bit different from the norm. All from something that many would have logged up. 👍👍👍👏👏
  17. I'd turn that on its side and hold it with wedges, then as seventh said, mill it to give curved garden benches. Takes a bit of setting up to get the first cut done but the result is worth it.
  18. As spud says, strip it and clean/grease it. Mine was really bad until I did this to it. Not 100% but a hell of a lot better.
  19. Great story, will keep me smiling
  20. Just made a phone call, picking 2 ferrets up tomorrow. Off to build a ferret house now.
  21. Been trying to have a look, suggest you get rid of proboards as I've given up, too long winded. Now won't let me continue until I give it my birth date. Not going to happen. Good luck with it though 👍 BTW trying to decide whether to get some ferrets ATM.
  22. Had a specsavers moment there, I read the title as fig slap bum! Hope you heal soon Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  23. Apart from the 6 people thing my old Peugeot 406 estate fills that spec perfectly, as would many estates. Fold seats down and you've got a van (my 406 has a longer load space than my old disco), I get over 45mpg one the single track roads we ha e over here, will pull a ton happily, no problems on the commute and you'll get a heap of change from £4000! I paid £650 for my 2000 model 12 months ago and its been faultless, the best van I've had. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  24. That has to be about the worst first post I've ever read, how about trying to fit in a bit. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  25. You'll end up with Betty swallocks wearing them! 😁 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
