Good to hear its back up and going well 👍👍
  6. Good to see you back mate, was only the other day I was wondering how you were.
  7. That takes me back,
  8. So are you saying that you don't have any lead in your pencil cos you've worn it out sharpening your saw with it?
  9. Just started making my own biltong this autumn, made rabbit and beef getting some venison soon. Really easy to do in a dehydrator, give it a go.
  10. I would have thought that if 1. The owner of the saw approached you and asked for the work to be done 2. You explain what the work will achieve in terms of extra performance possibly also pointing out that this may or may not mean that the saws safety features may not work as designed by the manufacturer. 3. You explain that the saw should be for personal use only and not used by employees etc Then I'd have thought you would be in the clear if anything went wrong.
  11. Great vid, loved the bar mounted camera
  12. Opps, I'd forgotten about that, its my penknife I put there for scale (took photo 2 years ago)
  13. Well just to make you a little bit jealous again, I did get this one for myself a while back, will put up photos of a coffee table made from one of the burrs in the next couple of weeks http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/attachments/milling-forum/103522d1351445927-burr-elm-milling-advice-_mg_9933.jpg

    Question

That must be some cow 😁😁
  17. Been milling this ugly lump of burry elm today, didn't get any photos of where it was when I turned up but it was attached to the root plate sat on top of a stone wall (at least what was left of it) Took a bit to get the root plate cut away and pull it to flatter ground. Plenty of burrs on it, some of which I took off so it would fit the mill. First slab off and its looking good Got 12 x 2" slabs out of it with good thick top and bottom slabs left over for wood turning.
  18. Its not the pivot pin from the metering arm is it?

    Heat transfer

Thought it was you that had one Jon, just wasn't sure. Do they move the heat into other rooms like the OP wants?

Heard of people getting good results with these http://www.ecofan.co.uk
  21. Worse still its a one day course, then you know how to fence http://www.lantra.co.uk/CourseFinder/Course-Listings/Lantra-Awards---STRAINED-WIRE-FENCING.aspx
  22. Another vote for the 171/181. Keep them sharp and you'll be surprised what they can do albeit a little slowly but probably still a lot faster than your electric saw. Don't mess around with secondhand as they tend to make silt money, buy new and keep to a 14" bar maximum.

As spud says take off the carb, remove the cover that has the large single screw, under that there will be a hole in the carb body with a filter in it See spuds post here http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/chainsaws/33857-whats-your-bench-today-51.html#post647432 BTW. I've got an ultrasonic cleaner if you're stuck and need to clean the carb.
  24. Yes doesn't look the most comfortable, a bit like an old 70s commer van
  25. Still being made as far as I can see so part should still be available
