  1. That's beautiful wood, what is it?
  2. I'm sure the one on the front of the bobcat posted a couple of years ago was a lot faster
  3. Thats an outrageous statement!!!! How very dare you 😁😁😁
  4. We've had a great spell of weather recently
  5. It won't speed up the cut, it just makes it a LOT easier
  6. Splitting at my woodshed today, finished just in time to catch this
  7. Well that just proves me right then....... I'm too grumpy to even do any proper research before shooting my mouth off on an internet forum 😁😁😁😁
  8. Remember that difference when you first cut down hill? Times that by 10 and that's what a winch is like. I don't use the winch for the first or last 6" or so, easy once you try it
  9. Another Americanism creeping in over here! Much like trick or treating. 👎👎 Ignore me, I'm just a bit grumpy tonight

    Dyson repair...

A mate had his serviced by dyson and it ended up like new (including a new motor), just looked and for a dc01 the price is £79 and for that they come to your house. BTW don't whatever you do sell it and get a henry, dyson uprights are so much better! 😁😁
  11. Careful, its very addictive! Oh, and put a winch on it, makes it so much easier
  12. I had the same thoughts with my 660, the ring on the cheaply piston snapped after a few hours work and wrecked the OEM cylinder, ended up costing me a new OEM top end
  13. I have to search around for a business card since I stopped smoking
  14. I've started ferreting this season and I'm amazed how hard it is to give away rabbits! My old nan who lived through 2 world wars would tan their arses. All comes down to the fact that food is cheap.
  15. Oil & pigeon crap? What the hell are you doing to those poor birds?

    Smokers.

Exactly the same, smoked 20+ years, stopped overnight 3 1/2 years ago. Not had one since, not saying I don't want one every now and then but its pretty easy to say no
  17. That seems to be quite an expensive solution

    new...

I mill with a 66, work OK up to 36" bar which gives me a 29" cut. Could get another inch if I took the dogs off
  19. That makes a lot more sense now the photos have opened, until then I was wondering where the M7 motorway was and how they let you mill along side it!
  20. I'd second that, the mulched blade will surprise you at how good they are
  21. My mum in Somerset has been having a bit of building work done on her cottage recently and the builder said that she should really get the chimney lined. The current wood burner is an unbranded one (I would imagine it was a cheap import knowing how tight my dad was) that my dad fitted about 1990, its in an inglenook and the stove pipe goes through the register plate and that's it, never been a problem with it in the last 24 years but if it needs a liner then so be it. Mum phoned a local stove centre and they came out to quote The chap asked mum if she had the paperwork that came with the stove, no says mum, its over 20 years old. Bloke says he can't install a liner without the paperwork and then tries to get her to buy a new stove! Is there any reason not to install a liner on a stove without the paperwork? Or was this company just trying to rip off an 81 year old widow.
  22. Totally agree with this, tried several different 1.1 chains and the only one I was ever happy with was the stihl, tried a Carlton once and I mean once, binned it after the first couple of cuts the vibration was that bad!
  23. Both, x27 at home, hycrack at tigh-nan-alt and done a deal with tommy to use his splitter which makes sense as its right next to to stack
  24. Not burnt any of that load that I got delivered yet, I guess you got yours from the same place as me. Just got to get it split and hauled now
  25. I really didn't need that image in my head on a Sunday morning!
