  4. The winner is.......... The Crown at Humshaugh. Lovely and succulent sirloin steak 👍👍👍👍
  5. Some great replies here. Matty, the bridge tip may turn out to be the best tip you've given. Might check out the Barrasford, we'll see. Leaving in 5 mins
  6. Keep sticking ideas up guys, if possible I'll update tomorrow with picture of pint and meal in front of me. (Technology allowing) So far the crown at humshaugh is in the lead. Really looking forward to seeing this area again, haven't been around there since I was at college in ponteland 25 years ago
  7. Thanks mate,must spat me beer out!😁😁
  8. Hi all can anyone recommend a pub for a good meal near hexham (north of)? Staying down there tomorrow night (30th) and looking for somewhere for some good pub grub.
  9. What happens if its not refreshed? Do the guys instantly forget everything about fencing after 4 years and 364 days?
  10. Glad I'm not the only one that thought that!
  11. When did you get photos of my workshop? Not a lot of bowls in a day, but a long time between cleans 😮
  12. Buzzing from the muffler? Possibly the piston fitted the wrong way round, ring caught in exhaust port and broke. Buzzing caused by piece of ring rattling around in exhaust?
  13. Just what I've been looking for that, a bee keeper I know wants me to find just that sort of thing to make an artificial/natural beehive. Just a wee bit far away me thinks!
  14. If he doesn't find out why it seized in the first place and sort that out first then you may as well just throw your money in the bin and save everyone the hassle
  15. When I finally stopped using the Milwaukee I stripped it down to see how much wear there was internally. The gearbox looked brand new, hardly any discernable wear. Only reason it was scrapped was a combination of motor pretty tired, down to last battery so needed to buy a new one and the chuck needed replacing. Just wasn't worth doing all these at the same time, cheaper to replace with a makita.
  16. I had a Milwaukee for 10+ years and to be honest it was amazing, took some serious abuse (mostly fencing so outside all the time) BUT I replaced it with a makita cos there were far more aftermarket batteries etc for the more common drills than the Milwaukee. If that's not a big issue for you then you won't go far wrong with one.
  17. OK I'm resurrecting this thread for a second time. I ended up buying a makita which up until recently has been faultless, also got the impact driver to match which I wouldn't be without. All was well until I used it on a REALLY wet day recently and to be fair it was soaked. Worked fine in the rain all day but come the next day it was knacked, slow to turn and smoked like mad under the lightest of loads even though it had been beside the heater drying out all night. Was expecting to have to replace the whole thing but found out you can get a new motor for less than £20. Replaced it this morning in about half hour and now back working as it should 👍👍 Would I buy another one.... Yes its a great drill, just don't let them get too wet
  18. If that surprises you then you've obviously not looked at the price of a new one
  19. I've only got a bump head, I only use nylium and can confirm it never sticks
  20. What are you using on the 9" grinder? I've got 4 1/2" flap wheels for the little grinder but have been looking for 9" sanding pads and I think I'm more confused than before I started looking
  21. No sorry Eddie, its just an xp
  22. Umm...... I think if you do about 30 seconds research you'd find that Luxembourg is one of the founding members of the EU in 1952 and has been a member of the euro zone since its inception. As for protection, its buyer protection gives me the confidence to use PayPal (and hence eBay) without people having this confidence eBay would partially if not totally collapse with the loss of many peoples businesses
  23. Its already donated its fuel line, plug cap and pull cord in just 2 days
  24. Liking that 👍👍
  25. Not quite sure how these warranty claims work but surely if they've done it under warranty once then they would have to stand by it as many times as required
