  1. I was looking at new trucks last night and going by the retail price I would go with the toyota, Ford haven't changed much and they are still rust buckets, my 09 ranger is riddled with rust, and they appear to be pretty expensive in comparison to what else is out there imo. The Isuzu's look very tempting but will probably stick with my landies as whatever people want to say about them they do tow much nicer than other trucks I have used.
  2. Not a wise idea to anounce on a public forum you have trackers imo. Sorry to hear about the theft, one of the down sides to landies is being so easy to wring.
  3. And there was me thinking this was going to be a thread about stuff going around in your head during the day
  4. I price a lot of jobs where I know I am a long way from being the cheapest but I get 95% of what I quote. It's all about how you come across to the customer and reputation imo.
  5. Glad to hear it was recovered Would love to see my digger again but no ammount of reward appears to be enough to make it turn up
  6. Congrats to you both.
  7. How much were they ? pm me if you want I need some new pads for under the crane legs, they look the same.
  8. I wouldn't want to drive a lhd all day with the ammount of driving I do.
  9. I could quite happily swap to one of those from my landies.
  10. I would be interested in prices if possible aswell please.
  11. Very handy Many thanks for that.
  12. That will be a cracking truck when done. Look forward to seeing more pics when it's done
  13. If the ram was a 4x4 with the cummins above the front axle it would probably pull the back end off the landy (and I love my landies) so not biased
  14. It appears it's that if you are towing or not.
  15. It appears so, I was in a ranger Nice little earner I would say.
  16. speed limits Oh well that explains why I got flashed on the A12 the other afternoon
  17. From my experiences he would sadly find that in general a lot of people who say "I would buy one" don't put thier money where thier mouth is when it comes to the crunch. Something very satisfying about building kit like this yourself and actually getting it out there working for the first time, even more satisfying if it works exactly as planned first time, but most need some tweaking.
  18. Very impressive would a flow valve not be a good idea to slow the slew and raise/lower ram movements a bit ?
  19. North norfolk railway is just up the road at sherringham Got a 1940's weekend this weekend aswell I love it up around that area.
  20. Make that 2 major points PTO shafts turn in the opposite direction to an engine aswell
  21. Don't know about that but I have had similarish issues with my 09 ranger, and it turned out to be the fuel filter water sensor, changed the filter and it was fine, although the filter taken off had only a tiny ammount of water in it and certainly not enough that should have normally caused a problem.
  22. And there is the next problem, I may be wrong but I have come to the conclusion that these scum are pretty fearless, to be as bold as some of them are now being you would have to be. What exactly do you plan to do ? I am not trying to be arguementative but realistic, I like to think I can look after myself but in reality what are you going to do against a group of people ?, it appears that they rarely are on thier own. It's a very awkward situation.
  23. Bit of a change of plan after today, I took one of my existing heavy duty eight spokes in to have a tyre changed and it is warped really badly, not sure if it's the trailer work as I quite often end up at funny angles to the trailer on slopes or having to go up a lot of kerbs loaded, I have decided to go with the wolf's with 235/85/16 on the 130 and I will use the rest of my 265 tyres up on the 110. Blindo's would be nice but at nearly £200 a piece I will have to give them a miss.
  24. I always forget about them, will have a word with him tomorrow, I normaly use britcar but all of thier steel modulars are rated at 1050kg except the wolfs. Mach 5's would be nice but I don't want to go to that sort of money.
