I enquired the other day just out of interest how much a new one was (don't want another) and apparently if you spec it with factory fitted towbar it now comes with different gear ratios to one's without.

I am interested in this mainly for the undercarriage for another project, but a couple of questions if you don't mind. How are the tracks adjusted, and from looking at the pics are the track rollers actually running on bearings ? Looking at the pics I think some areas might need a bit of strengthening if they are going to last.

Rear spring leafs snapping was a common problem on the older ones when used a lot for towing, something to do with the ammount of flexing and the paint finish of the springs, replacement sorted it out though.

Earlier ones were lower geared and although a bit juicy made decent motors for towing and good work horses, later ones (not sure from what year but think somewhere around 07) had higher gears ratios and are frankly crap for towing, the very latest have had the ratios played with again and are apparently much better. I personally hate using my 09 plate ranger for work, which is mainly towing.

buy it online in 25 litre drums, it can be got for about £70 a can, but if you go to a local motor factors they can probably do something similar for far less. You don't dilute it

Depends on what you are cleaning with it really, I have had my last load of jizer in for just over a year but it's pretty useless now.

It's a great idea and a nice little loader but be interesting to see how sturdy that is going to be.

Sealey are putting out some terrible quality stuff lately imo, you might want to look at cheaper different makes.

I know it's thier cock up but it's you sitting there in the cold you would probably be better off to arranged your own plumber to sort it out and bill them including an arrangemnt fee, they are pretty much worse than useless and i'm sure they survive by preying on older people who think it's best to deal with british gas because that was all you had years ago. Had all this with my mum & british gas, they were taking money for a boiler contract that included parts, trouble was that you couldn't get parts for it and hadn't been able to for quite a few years and they knew that as they had been told that by the manufacturer.

How longs a piece of string, depends on what the ground is like, ie is there an existing lawn or soil type, how much leveling to do and also how much barrowing is involved. Hard to say but on average I would allow 2 men 3 days, and expect a really nice job of it.

I was once advised that it pays to change accountants every few years as they can become complacent, and I pretty much agree with the statement from experience, new broom and all that.

Is that one of the ones with the floor that tilts aswell ? I am thinking of getting one of those to replace my new Ifor with. If you are buying new I would be looking at bateson & brian james over a new Ifor, thier build quality has taken a bit of a dive with the latest models imo

Not trying to stir things up here but how can it be mis sold, surely you knew what you were getting into when you took this stuff out, or did you not read the small print ? I'm just interested to know is all.

I use it and although it can be costly it does get results, but quite often if it suddenly gets costly you need to bear in mind your competitors can be adding up your bill by clicking and using various methods to make it look not so supsicious. I use tracking software to check where the clicks are coming from and how often, it flags up too many suspicous clicks You need to keep a very tight reign on it otherwise it can be a very expensive way of advertising

Posting this for a friend who needs a electro clutch for a carlton 2500-4 with a lombardini. He needs a new clutch, is there anywhere in the UK they can be picked up from or is carlton the only place they can be got ?.

I had a fourtrack for several years, was a really good tow motor, and I thought it fairly economical for the engine size, the only problem we had with it was it had a sudden severe gearbox oil leak and the gearbox belly pan was lined with some type of material and it soaked all the gear oil up, so no one knew it was leaking, which led to replacing several gears and bearings in the box.

A friend of my mums (84 years old) got ripped off by these thieving scum bags. I get my fair share of them phoning and play them along as long as possible, whilst I am wasting thier time they aint screwing some other poor bugger over, but the last one I had I kept going for about 20 minutes and she was furious when I finished, she then proceeded to phone me every 30 minutes for the rest of the day hurling foul langauge down the phone at me, she got even more upset when I kept saying "I love it when you talk dirty to me" They should be put up against a wall and shot imo

I asume you meant green reaper ? it's a disc type spreader wont the vanes be the wrong way around on the tow one if you push it ?, so you could push it but you will get product all over you, and if you pushed it from the tow end the vanes won't flick the product properly.
