  1. I have a roof and rear top bulhead panel going spare aswell Might also have a headlining depending on how I trim the inside of the one I am currently doing.
  2. Sadly as long as we have a police force who don't give a crap about machinery theft it will only increase. 3 weeks on from my kit being stolen I have still not heard from them about checking local cctv cameras.
  3. Sorry to hear this. It's becoming a bit of a joke (although not funny) how much and to what lengths the thieving scum will go to to get to our kit. Have the police offered to do thier usual piss all ?
  4. Didn't ifor use to supply the early tippers with that setup ? It's a fair run for a set of leads, and I don't know how true it is but was told the reason ifor stopped that system was due to leads getting too hot. You are going to want some fairly substantial leads and heavy duty connectors, I would imagine there won't be too much difference in cost either way, but I could be wrong.
  5. I left the battery on the trailer and then added a lead to the battery from the trailer auxiliary socket.
  6. I have a customer who's clutch went on his 59 plate isuzu at 30k miles. I think whatever euro pickup you buy they just aren't up to the job, my 09 ranger is the biggest bag of shite I have ever owned, I am now sick to death of electronics on trucks which is partly why I am totally rebuilding a 130 300tdi defender at least when it does go wrong I can understand/work on it.
  7. So can I as what galv chassis you would have used ?
  8. Why not not have a look at the micro four thirds range from panasonic or olympus, I changed over to an olympus G1 a couple of years or so back as I was sick of carrying my dslr about with all it's lenses, image quality isn't as good as my 5D was but it's still very acceptable.
  9. I seem to remember that being a scam Are they in scotland ?
  10. Yes Ifor Williams and TER have been informed. I am going to have the new one signwriten, although it will be vinyl if it's removed it will leave the outline of the writing after it's been on a short while, hopefully that will help deter them a bit.
  11. Thanks for looking out for it, much greatly appreciated. No joy as yet, I don't expect to see them again, and would be suprised if they actually bother looking at the video footage. Stupidly I had not put the digger on cover as we had moved it from the yard to the farm a few weeks ago and with everything else that's been going on lately I completly forgot, for that I need a good kick I would have thought with all the kit that's being stolen around here at the moment the police would have jumped at the chance to have a time slot to check the cameras. As is always the way, I found out after that one of the parents of the kids Eve looks after works for a firm that fit vhf trackers
  12. Todays posts wasn't updating for me either but now it returns "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. "
  13. Bit of an update I was told by the police on thurdsay afternoon that they weren't going to investigate this as there wasn't enough to go on, and they weren't going to even come out. I had a moan yesterday about it as we know they were taken between 4-5am and 2 of the routes they could have taken have cameras on them, so got a visit earlier and they are now going to check the cameras on the A12 & A120.
  14. Is it just me who thinks that looks pig ugly ?
  15. Stolen around 4am this morning 8th November from Ardleigh Essex. The digger although a kubota is painted mustard and brown, and has a cracked front screen, did have a large ditching bucket fitted and piped for a grab. The Ifor is a TT85 electric tip and has a seperate power supply to the battery fitted with an auxiliary socket. serial number is 565208 These were sitting next to our topsoil heap, looks like they hooked the trailer to the digger and then tracked the machine across our fields then straight through the fence then through our neighbours field and to a small lane (a total of about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile) where they loaded them up. A pretty large reward offered for the recovery one or both items.
  16. openoffice will do what you want and unlike MS office it's free (legally) There are a fair few templates available on the net for invoicing using either openoffice calc or writer I have used quickbooks for many years but my son has now bespoked an acounting programme he writes for other firms to my exact needs which is going to save hours of work a year over using quickbooks.
  17. I have mine with NFU but they were far from the cheapest. Just check that the NFU are including trailer cover, I naturally assumed that it did but just out of curiousity decided to check and I had no trailer cover included in the policy. The only reason I stuck with them was I got them to reduce the price and include fully comp cover for both my ifor trailer on and off the truck and my demountable camper whilst on the truck.
  18. Excellent video Takes some serious balls to ride like that.
  19. Not built a firewood processor, but have designed and built several other machines, and also paid to have one piece of kit built because we didn't have machinery big enough to deal with the job. various prices of stuff like gearboxes, bearings, machined shafts and conveyer belting and such will add up and it don't take long for one problem to add up to several hours to sort out which is fine if building it yourself but if you are paying someone by the hour it will soon add up aswell. unless the saving is substanial I wouldn't risk the safety/reliability issues to save what will not be that substantial an ammount
  20. From previous experience of building things, you would probably be better off buying a second hand one, it doesn't take long for the bill to start mounting up especially when someone else is building it.
  21. I used a 20 watt electric fan last year and it made a heck of a difference to the warmth around the house. I looked at the ecofan but because of where my fire is I would have trouble sitting it anywhere and also you can buy a lot of electric for that money at 20 watts and will do the same this winter, but you can't get much fairer than the offer by Alycidon.
  22. Just my own personal experience but I wouldn't touch another richards chassis with a very large barge pole.
  23. You could try Marsland chassis You can probably get them to knock a bit off if you haggle but as said above you will struggle to get one for just over £1k.

    Help??

Run a mile I think is what is meant I got a reply to a cheap camper on ebay earlier, same routine, currently working in scotland and they will pay to have it delivered, and ebay will hold the money, they are a pain in the arse.
  25. I would be interested to see how Fuchs stands up, if possible.
