  1. Haha feedback already left for it "this person is a crock do not buy from " SCAM" "
  2. slightly Poorer mpg
  3. I gave up nearly two & a half years ago, was doing 30-40 a day and had been for 31 years, I had tried loads of times before and the longest I managed was eight months, in the end I decided I couldn't keep putting my family through the huge mood swings I had whenever I gave up so decided not to bother, then a friend who had given up for 5 years suggestd I read this Allen Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking so I did and it has totally changed the way I looked at smoking and I have never wanted to smoke since and I never really had any mood swings either, best money I have ever spent.
  4. Are those holes under the log where you missed
  5. The last time I needed to hire one was a fair time ago and I really can't remember how much it was. I know he was cheaper than doe's and doe's don't like to hire out for anything less than a week, I think he only has the one tractor now that he hires out (case mc105 iirc) He is based at Frating
  6. Thankfully not. No it was the emergency stop disabled on the remote control box, now I could be wrong and call me cynical but looks very much like it was done on purpose as the emergency stop on the remote is very easily hit, but the wires had been swaped on the relay and it was the original relay and you could see the terminal it was taken off, took ages to find out why it weren't working, I know someone who had a similar accident to you, and it may sound stupid but it was one of the reasons I got out of grinding many many years ago as more and more arb's wanted to hire it without me using it. If this was done on purpose as I suspect it was then who ever done it needs to wake up to how dangerous these machines can be.
  7. You could try Graham at G B Farm services 01206 250990 I hire from him if I ever need one.
  8. Best of luck and I hope it goes well. seeing this again has just reminded me I really should start a thread about something I discovered on a grinder I recently bought.
  9. If you want to PM me your email addy and i'll send you the parts diagram page out of the manual The blade should be a 35mm bore
  10. There should be 2 nuts
  11. Has it not got a locking nut on it aswell ? Hayden saws are pretty good.
  12. I have had problems with VOSA and the ministry before as I spend most of my driving time towing a trailer, here is a link to the relevant documents that covers what the exemptions are Tachograph exemptions that are relevant are on page15 Operator licence get around's are in section page 11 The first part here is rather interesting Maximum unladen weight for 4x4 dual use vehicle I'm sure there was a maximum distance for operators licences but i'm buggered if I can find it now, will probably find it amongst my paperwork because I printed all this out for when needed. Hope that clears it up for some people. I think you will find there is a clampdown on trailers in essex, a friend got pulled on the A12 pulling a trailer the other month and was fined for not having a tacho but was not put on a weighbridge to confirm he was over 3.5ton GTW, there was a whole load of trucks & trailer owners pulled in & fined along with him and they had to have the trailers recovered because they were not allowed to carry on thier journey with them, After speaking to VOSA about this it appears that essex police need some lessons on trailer law as they also reckoned that he was illegal because he was towing a trailer plated at 3500kg with a vehicle only rated to tow 2500kg trailer even though the trailer only had a mower that weighed about 250kg on it giving a total trailer weight of around 1000kg. rambling now over
  13. Like I said it's my opinion, I find other parts of the countries landscape more inspiring than around this area, simple really. If constable and gainsborough found the landscape so good why do a lot of thier landscape works have people or other items as the main focal point ?, more so with constables work than gainsborough.
  14. Certainly not, I struggle to find anywhere around here now that inspires me especially where my photography is concerned. Flatford is a nice place, but there are few places like that in essex imo. But then thats just my opinion Hopefully off to the west coast of scotland soon though for some photography
  15. I don't know they are both flat, bland and boring
  16. It's nice there, last time we went was in the winter and it was deserted.
  17. I think you need to have left a small bit of hose on the air filter pipe iirc to put the bolt in. Sorry for the vagueness it was a long time ago I done mine
  18. err not sure but is that not the one you can stick a big bolt in and hose clip it in tight?
  19. Sounds good Not quite so peacefull for me, spent the evening in the workshop sandblasting & painting bits off the land rover, whilst the girlfriend & boys have gone to the music concert in the village.
  20. It will increase performance and mpg very slightly On the ranger it's not so much the high mileage that causes the pipe lining it's a crap design (something to do with EU emmision rubbish) even with low mileage one's, but obviously it will make it worse with higher miles. Was a fair while back when it was done but I had my pump timing advanced slightly which increased HP and fuel economy again, although that job was done by the local ford garage as a freebee TBH with that mileage I would think it would need new injectors if it hasn't already, I would get them tested before messing with the pump.
  21. If it's what I think it is it's caused by the air from the breather pipe from the top of the rocker box being recirculated into the air inlet (cant remember the exact name of it) and the best thing to do is bypass it, iirc a blanking plate on one end and run a new length of breather pipe down to the side of the chassis in the engine bay.
  22. I am thinking of changing over to greenteeth on my bandit, I would like to know how you have got on with sharpened teeth, I know there must not be anything ground off the outside edge and i'm wondering how this makes them compare to new ones. I have the machines in the workshop to make a setup to sharpen the teeth properly, and I was wondering if anyone else sharpens theirs or if anyone would be interested in a sharpening service for them, I know there are firms in other countries offering a sharpening service for them but couldn't find one here and even if there was I would rather sharpen my own anyway.
  23. I wonder if they will still feel like that if the imported wood becomes cheaper than locally sourced, I hope they do but cost usually wins in the end.
  24. For fear of starting something here That's £130-£140 a cube, I can't help feeling that a lot of woodburners were fitted purely as a feature and people don't rely on it for a guaranteed heat source, and I can't help feeling that some of you are going to price yourselves out of work at those prices, because while times are hard (and getting harder) they just won't bother lighting them, obviously there are still people who will need logs for essential heat. Obviuosly I am comparing those prices to around here, but I don't believe we are that far apart in distance.
  25. Hmm they told me they no longer insure 4x4 trucks anymore either
