  1. From the photo that looks in good bodywork condition. Same's are good tractors aswell, I sold my durado 70 last year as part of my scale down but kept my explorer 2, nearly 10k hours on the clock and still mechanicly like new. You could try Blakewell services for a loader 01271 375 947 they are in your part of the world, I will have a word with my friend who is a same dealer locally when I see him next and see if he knows of a loader but there aren't many same's left in this area now.
  2. Zetors are bullet proof, I had one with a loader that we abused to hell loading a soil screen, started every time, haha we even sheared the front axle mount off it one day and just welded it back in place and carried on, I finally got rid of it last year for more money than I paid for it 15 years ago, it went to poland for spares
  3. Tonights collection is turkey oak, hawthorn and birch, but it's got unbearably hot in here now so I am going to let it go out.
  4. whatever they are you have to take your hat off to whoever loaded them
  5. Just out of interest are you diverting to a virgin mobile phone ? Calls from a virgin landline to virgin mobile are free but I could never get a definate answer from virgin if it included diverted calls to a virgin mobile.
  6. Diverting calls from a BT landline is an expensive game, you get billed on your BT bill the cost of the call to the mobile. Personally I think there is still a stigma attached to using a mobile number. I switched about six months ago to this with vodafone costs me £55 + vat a month I have 7 geographical numbers linked to the one mobile number and each number has a prefix so I know what number has been called, that also includes unlimited minutes to most numbers and texts, all diverted calls are free, it roughly going to save me about £500 a year
  7. Burning a bit of a mix of london plain, cherry, birch, willow and turkey oak, has been burning nice tonight.
  8. I had thought about buying an rb44 for my next camper build, but after reading up on them thought I would leave well alone, brakes were and apparently still are an issue, front axle as someone else said is a special and you can't get bits , apparently quite a few got slightly cannibalised to keep the others going so you need to be careful you ain't buying one thats been bodged to sell, read up on the amount of time they have been laid up and it's worrying. From what I could make out is if you could find one that was owned by a utility company they were slightly better
  9. My Villager whistles some days, although not overly loud it's enough to get a bit annoying after a while, on mine it's because all the door seals need doing, gets worse as the fire gets hotter.
  10. I have a murex tradesmig 240 which is pretty good for single phase, I picked it up s/h years ago from the people I used to do a bit of fitting/engineering work for so knew what it was like and jumped at the chance to buy it.
  11. Good truck but my 09 plate tdci is way too highly geared for towing at full capacity, my 02 plate gearbox much lower geared and was a dream to tow with, not sure what year they changed over to the higher ratio box though.
  12. Usually the true account user has been hacked hence they use a different email and generally tell you they don't answer via ebay contact seller as it draws attention to to true account holder if you used the usual method
  13. I don't know I could be wrong but that listing screams scam to me Edit: nick channer beat me to it
  14. That is rather nice and rather tempting, but common sense will get the better of me Iveco 4x4 tipper
  15. Mine arrived last week, wish I had looked in here first as I paid £75 for mine, but still worth every penny.
  16. If it's a calor bottle and empty you should be able to take any size bottle and pay for a full one of the size you require, although I have heard that some calor dealers are getting a bit funny about doing that now.
  17. If ever you were involved in a serious accident a vehicle inspector would probably easily realise it isn't an official land rover chassis which could lead to all sorts of insurance issues, not worth the agro it could cause imo, hence I went with one that is produced by the land rover supplier.
  18. I purchased a 1996 130 earlier this year, tbh I paid more than I should have but was getting a bit fed up with trying to find one as it had to be a 300tdi, I paid £5200 for it but it had a recon box, transfer box and front diff, it's going through exactly what you are doing, engine is rebuilt, rear diff is rebuilt, and i'm now starting to put it back together (very slowly) I am making a demountable camper and dropside body system made for it eventually, just a word of caution, make sure that the 130 is a 3500kg version as I have come across a few that aren't also be carefull who you get the galv chassis from, richards chassis are not (or weren't) type approved and are completely different to the original in the way it is manufactured. As usual the week after I bought mine another came up for less
  19. There is also Zinga, I was going to use it on some of the land bits but it's scarily expensive and fairly hard to get hold of.
  20. on a 3500kg the front axle has extension plates on the bump stops, the chassis doesn't have to be double plated as someone said the double plated are utility company spec (they rust like a bitch between the plates) I have just replaced my 130 plated with a standard one as they can't be got galvanised double plated, apart from the HD rear axle and inner helper springs thats pretty much all you need. On another note there are some 130's out there that are plated at 3050kg so just check the plate if you ever buy one.
  21. the oil change interval on earlier rangers is 6k not 10k as some one stated earlier, they are a pretty reliable bus, if it's going to be towing the earlier ones have a tendency to snap a leaf in the rear springs from new but the replacements should fix the problem.
  22. Nice looking truck, I thought about getting one instead of the 130 but then I came to my senses.
  23. Thanks for the comments I got so fed up with it at one point I nearly sold it part built on ebay Now it's done I am quite pleased with how it has turned out, but the next one will be in completely different materials. All up weight is about 650kg, the roof was pretty easy to make watertight but I done some alterations to it that isn't shown in those pics, all the roof panels now interlock, meaning it can't collapse and also making it completely watertight. Now I know what's involved I am quite happy to do another one (on a landy 130)
  24. Yes I built it, everything on the demountable market is too wide and too long to sit comfortably on the back of a euro size pickup imo. They don't seem to make much money secondhand, but I think that is partly because they are too big, at least if you make it you can make it the right size, but it's probably cheaper to buy one already done. I have been asked by a few people if I would consider taking it into production, but am still debating that one. Here a link to the build camper built and this site has some that others have built demount site
  25. And this is the crap that is teaching the children, that's scary I am very pleased to hear that the Highbury Corner magistrates court has passed the cases charged over to crown court because the crown court can dish out longer sentences.
