Which the insurance company probably won't pay out for, as much as I hate to say it I would rather it was gone than ruined and all the hassle that would cause sorting things out. I had thought about doing it myself, but apart from the above you just know you are going to forget it one day.

I have one of these and tbh it would be a piece of cake to get around, but is another one to slow them down a bit.

My girlfriend has a pretty severe reaction to willow, not skin related but breathing problems and a host of other things. But we think it is more likely to be mould spores on it Bloody annoying as I have about 7 ton of the stuff cut up for the log burner

If they have a genuine need then no doubt they would have to bite the bullet and buy legally. But how many machines must there be out there that were bought because they were cheap, and are used where no one will see them or "that will be handy at that price" -

I think you will probably find the type of people who end up with the stolen kit would be the type that would not be prepared to go buy new anyway. -
I have said on here before these people are bold and you don't need to get yourself into a situation where you have to try to prove yourself, the best way to try to stop it is to make kit as secure and hard to steal as possible. Being charged with attempted murder is going to cause a whole load more grief than an insurance claim. I think we sometimes drop our guard a bit when we have nothing stolen for a few years, and leave kit vulnerable, I know I used to be guilty of that, For the fear of sounding like a parrot, manufacturers, importers and dealers could help reduce theft if they really wanted to, and insurance companies could force their hand to do it.

That would crucify us, if we are not in the top 3 then forget it, it's a constant challenge to stay on top locally let alone try and expand out of the area which is what we are trying to do atm. I hate the way most SEO's try to fill you with crap, about getting you on top. I have a friend who works for one of the big SEO companies and what some of their clients are paying a month to stay up top is seriously scary.

Got to poke my nose in here The ifor flatbeds and plant trailers are still decent bits of kit, my LM146 tri axle with the crane is a lovely trailer, however my TT3017 tipper is frankly awful, most recent issue is the centre side posts have fractured the welds and bits have cracked off them, I phoned ifor about it and according to to chap in customer services "we are aware of that problem" we will send some new ones, which is good service but when they arrived they are the same design as the old ones, so I guess now it's out of warranty I will have to buy them next year. That along with quite a few other issues over the newer design and build quality would make me suggest to anyone who was looking for a tipper to look at some of the other manufacturers out there. Admittedly we do work our trailers really hard but the tipper is way under par for ifor imo.

What really needs doing is machinery theft needs to be taken seriously by machine manufacturers, importers and dealers. Insurance companies have the power to make them take it seriously, but at the end of the day is it really in any of their interests to stop it? after all it's all about making sales. And between them they could make a huge difference to machinery theft if they really wanted to.

UVO = used veg oil Derv = diesel Not an engine I would want to run it on without some serious research.

A good place to ask is here, but I assume you are talking about UVO, virgin rapeseed is not that much cheaper than derv, certainly not cheap enough to warrant damaging very expensive pumps and injectors imo, this time of year you would want to use not much mixed with derv as the stuff is fairly thick in the winter. If you are going to be using UVO then you would be wise to set up a dewatering and filtering setup to clean it up before using it, some of the used stuff is really nasty. We used to run a couple of tractors on UVO/derv mix at 60/40 ratio in the summer but that was in Same tractors which are designed to run on the stuff, we also tried 50/50 in a deutz powered irrigation pump and over time it caused problems with gumming up, the carbon in the exhaust was like a glue/paste.
