  1. It gets you like that, but give it a few weeks and you will look at it in a bit of a different light, it will still grind with you but don't let them get the better of you. Every time I see posts like this it me off, I still feel there is a large proportion of this theft could be eradicated if the manufacturers and dealers wanted to, but it's not in their interest.
  2. feel for you Matty, been there too many times myself, I hope you get it back but the reality is that's likely the last you will see of it. Hope the insurance pays out without messing about.
  3. A new lawn for a complete bungalow re-decorate A new lawn for a heating system install And many others Can't beat doing trades
  4. Please say you didn't use a britpart waterpump ? They are notorious for not lasting, some as short as 2 weeks. Parts like that it pays to use genuine oem for the 300tdi it's a QH iirc
  5. That's excellent Have always wanted to build one of those myself.
  6. You wouldn't have a link would you please? I can't find anything except replacement tracker batteries when I search Sounds like an excellent idea
  7. Finally got it home Look forward to some decent days and getting it out now

  9. Just got back from trying to sort stuff out have removed the cables and will get new ones made up tomorrow, luckily I found the panel thrown in a nearby hedge, hammered other bits back to shape, the problem is once it's done it will happen again. Didn't realise but they have also emptied both tanks, the good thing is that I am so sick of the tanks being drained I mixed used engine oil 50/50 in with the diesel on the big tractor I did report it in the end.
  10. Stolen from StOsyth Weeley area of Essex Went out to harvest turf this morning to find some nice persons have decided to help themselves to the batteries on the tractor and turf harvester, cut through the leads, and then bent bits out of the way on the harvester and stolen the front panel (for scrap I assume), and all the tools and bits out of the toolbox on the tractor. I won't bother phoning the police this time as they are as much use as a chocolate teapot anyway. Getting really fed up with all this now, if it's not one thing it's another
  11. So it's not just me then Tis indeed a cracking looking bit of kit
  12. Looks good but does it actually have a payload ? One thing I noticed when I built mine is the worked out weight didn't end up anywhere near the actual weight, the little bits and bobs really add to the weight, I had to have 1500kg as a payload (2 bulk bags) when I put it on the weighbridge I had to take the toolbox out to get it right
  13. What they forgot to tell you is your £22 will only cover the town (or part of depending how big your town is) that you ask for not the one next to you, ie: I pay for our nearest main town but have to pay extra for any of the smaller local places, they will cost extra per small town, that makes it a very expensive and pretty useless form of advertising in my view, ignore their statistics that they throw at you, page searches does not remotely equate to a sale. Last year was the last year we will do yell, we used good tracking software on the website and asked callers where they got the number, there were a few hits that came via the yell website, and even less phoned, but of the one's that had visited the website via yell a lot had also visited via google. I will still have a very small add add in the book until it finishes in the next few years, as we find older people still use it, but the rest of the money they had from us now goes into adwords (which I hate but is a necessary evil) or organic search promotion.
  14. Adwords is a a money pit, the more people use it the dearer it gets to get top, use it to get work immediately whilst putting effort/money in to get a high organic listing, don't forget google places which is free and lists under adwords if the searcher adds a place in the search
  15. Our fencing supplier simply can't get enough timber, he's suppliers are blaming the biomass trade for the shortage, saying a lot is now going straight to chip.
  16. Personally I think it's getting too expensive to go caravaning, it used to be a decent cheap holiday, but if you own a decent van, take out depreciation, insurance running and servicing costs and some of the stupidly high site fee's it's not cheap anymore, that and being crammed in like a sardine on some sites. Most of the big sites (and some small ones) want you to book a minimum of 3 days during season, which is not great if like us you move on after a night or 2 at most, it's ok if you are going away a lot and out of season imo. Sold my spectrum 620 after a pretty scary bum cheek clenching incident on the M2,
  17. best neighbour is a bloody good high fence

  23. That's a lovely bike, can't beat the sound especially with the tergi's, put's a big grin on your face every time you start them up
  24. Pretty much sums it up in the comment here turkey oak I have seen a table made with it and it has a fantastic grain but god only knows how they seasoned it, we had some fantastic lumps from a huge beast that came down, but after reading up on it we turned it all into firewood. It rots really quickly I have some that is 2 years old on my log pile that is starting to rot already. I personally thought it made good firewood, and even had people asking for it after I gave them some to try.
