  1. Thats good to hear, thanks. I am quite looking forward to trying one out.
  2. with the box rake can windrow the rubbish, a burrier puts the rubbish under the surface, I have had the bigger burriers and they only work properly if the conditions are perfect, so assume it would be pretty much the same with the smaller ones.
  3. I am looking to make life easier for myself, and I am looking into getting a blec power box rake, has anyone ever used one and if you have what did you think of it ? What I am trying to do is cut down on the amount of time and physical effort put in to getting gardens ready to turf. Apparently I won't need to rotavate as it will do that aswell, I spoke to Les at blec today and he has offered to bring one down for me to demo, but then would it be best on a 2 wheel tractor or fit it on a mini tracked machine like a boxer which I have been considering getting one for a while, I need to keep things fairly narrow to get into back gardens, the boxer would be handy as I could use it to load topsoil up, but are they very good with a bucket on ? Another bonus with a boxer would be the ability to use it for laying big rolls.
  4. It's a known ranger problem, though tbh I thought it was from 06 on
  5. would be mad not to do the clutch whilst it's apart I would say that seems not a bad price for both fitted if it's a recon box with warranty.
  6. Rangers are just a misery full stop Is the £1k for s/h box and clutch ?
  7. From my researching into trackers you can find GPS based trackers with a rf signal scanner but it takes a while depending on how often it comunicates, or you can jam the signal
  8. We used to screen quite a bit of soil years ago with a fairly large setup. To do the job properly involves quite a bit of investment, flat deck screens are ok but trommel screens do a much better job especially when its damp but are in a different price league. Another huge problem is supply of good soil to put over the screen, where are you going to get it from, most muck away firms now have their own screens so you may struggle to get a supply of half decent material, you will get plenty of rubbish though We got out of it when testing started to become a requirement, but as stated above you need to get every so many hundreds of tons tested. We now buy all our screened in, we do not accept any recycled product in what we buy, far less hassle for us as all the testing is dealt with and apart from the very odd load we get consistent quality.
  9. If you don't want to do it yourself then try here If you do want to do it yourself there are plenty of wiring diagrams out on the net and Beals will have most of the necesary stuff you need, their website is rubbish request a catalogue to get the full range.
  10. Err I think not GPRS machine is £25 a month, merchant fee is £10 a month, the £10 a month is wiped of towards any charges. I curently pay 1.25% on credit cards and I think it's 12p per debit card transaction with no percentage fee on debit cards.
  11. KMR bodies are just up the road in hadleigh but as treequip said have a go yourself, service metals are very helpfull, and they are easy enough to make.
  12. That looks nice and tidy
  13. We normally use dinitrol cavity wax and then cover that with dinitrol black underbody wax. Sticks really well and lasts. But as said above give it a good wash down first Try get some on the underside of the seat boxes and bulkhead aswell
  14. Jees this beer is strong stuff Meant to read We no longer take cheques, mostly credit card with a few bacs
  15. We no take take cheques, mostly credit card with a few bacs
  16. Personally I think they look unprofessional, We use a proper GPRS unit and is far more accepted method imo Edit: and don't pay anywhere near that percentage, although we have a monthly machine charge
  17. I have been thinking about putting a low lift forklift on one of these to use to unload the truck and trailer, they look like a very useful bit of kit and far more useful than the crane as we can put pallets exactly where they are needed.
  18. It can be a money pit, generally they promise the world and no one can guarantee you will get top, depends how good your competition is. What has the site been made with ?
  19. They know how to charge for it aswell
  20. You still got that JBM then Dean Hope you are well ?
  21. Don't bother removing the old turf, rotavate it in, you put goodness back into the soil and save a boatload of time and money removing it when it really isn't necessary Generally no need to spray either unless it's infested with weeds, and even then if you rotavate it properly there is no need to spray. Several passes with a decent rotavator, then level, raking out any large bits of old lawn the rotavator didn't break up, then roll, then a final rake and then lay your turf off boards (unless using big rolls). Depending where you are we supply both standard sized rolls and big roll turf (shameful plug) Edit: you might want to spray it off if replacing with ornamental turf
  22. Well after the last batch of thefts I have decided I need to take the batteries home every night, the first idea I had was to put battery boxes on the front of the machines and anderson connectors on the tractor and batteries so we could quickly disconnect them and take them home, but I really don't want to be lugging big batteries about twice a day. So a better idea might be, I have a lot of room under the new landy body and was thinking about putting two 644 batteries under there, and again use anderson connectors. I am not really that clued up on working out what cables and connectors I would need amperage wise, so would like some advise if anyone can help, I know I will still need a battery on each machine or the alternator will be ruined, but how small a battery can I get away witt ? ideally small enough to hide away would be good. I can remove the batteries under the seat on the landy and use the 644's to start it, and then they will always be charged aswell. Any opinions please ?
  23. I replaced the Loncin on my crane trailer with a new honda, I could have bought 2 new Loncin's for the price of the Honda and I wish I had as the Honda has run like a bag of poo from new.
  24. Call me cynical but I hope you know the history and owner of the trailer. A missing wander lead would make me wonder if it's a stolen trailer, if it's one of the earlier removable leads. Sad but that's the way my mind works now
