  1. I see that the other day (the first link) but is it me or do the wheels not sit right with the wheel arches ?
  2. Not a very clever thing to do on the www imo If he thinks £500 will make someone blagg he may be in for a suprise, I have a £4.5k reward up for my digger and £2k for my trailer on ebay but not a sniff.

  4. Thought I would hare this one with you all. Although it's not finished I am going to start using this one for a bit whilst I get some jobs done on the hicap. I still need to get the body built and get it resprayed as yet, I have decided to go for a flat bed with lockers built into the outside edge of the floor as we only use a 4 foot wide strip in the middle for pallets to sit on, we will be able to store slings, ratchets and such like in them. It's been a lot of work, with everything being rebuilt/reconditioned, sandblasted and repainted but I am pleased with it.
  5. I get way better mpg than that from my 300tdi's but I am pretty steady with them. The later 300tdi's had some basic electrics (from p reg onwards iirc) linking the injector pump to the EGR via a box under the centre seat but you can just unplug the whole lot and run it without any of it connected without any problems. Check for chassis rot, the rear crossmember usually rots away on them at some point, as do the outriggers, give the bulkhead and the bottom of the seat box a decent looking at for rot, general places for bulkhead rot is in the footwells and around the bottom of the screen corners and door pillars, if buying a utility company spec one with the over plated chassis check for rust on the inner chassis underneath where the drain holes are, they have a habit of rotting between the plating and you cant see it very well. 300 tdi's are pretty bulletproof imo but as said they do lack power especially when towing hard, am currently looking into VRT's myself to get more out of them.
  6. We generaly find older customers pick up the YP and the younger ones use the net. I don't spend a huge ammount on it anymore but I won't stop advertising in it because I still get decent returns from it.
  7. You obviously don't live in eggs area
  8. I was looking at new trucks last night and going by the retail price I would go with the toyota, Ford haven't changed much and they are still rust buckets, my 09 ranger is riddled with rust, and they appear to be pretty expensive in comparison to what else is out there imo. The Isuzu's look very tempting but will probably stick with my landies as whatever people want to say about them they do tow much nicer than other trucks I have used.
  9. Not a wise idea to anounce on a public forum you have trackers imo. Sorry to hear about the theft, one of the down sides to landies is being so easy to wring.
  10. And there was me thinking this was going to be a thread about stuff going around in your head during the day
  11. I price a lot of jobs where I know I am a long way from being the cheapest but I get 95% of what I quote. It's all about how you come across to the customer and reputation imo.
  12. Glad to hear it was recovered Would love to see my digger again but no ammount of reward appears to be enough to make it turn up
  13. How much were they ? pm me if you want I need some new pads for under the crane legs, they look the same.
  14. I wouldn't want to drive a lhd all day with the ammount of driving I do.
  15. I could quite happily swap to one of those from my landies.
  16. I would be interested in prices if possible aswell please.
  17. That will be a cracking truck when done. Look forward to seeing more pics when it's done
  18. If the ram was a 4x4 with the cummins above the front axle it would probably pull the back end off the landy (and I love my landies) so not biased
  19. It appears it's that if you are towing or not.
  20. It appears so, I was in a ranger Nice little earner I would say.
  21. speed limits Oh well that explains why I got flashed on the A12 the other afternoon
