  1. nice self contained unit, a little deviousness by fitting it in an old ecu casing and it would be totally covert
  2. why no comments on his other saws, with the rest of the kit he has listed it looks genuine
  3. never going to hapen, to many lords are big landowners/farmers, and the cost to them will not be acceptable, plus how can you "mot" a vehicle when there are no standards to test to, do you ban all older tractors off the road, do you only allow "newish" trailers, what about towed implements, to many problems, the law as it stands is clear, no suspension, no exceed 20mph, if more fines were imposed for breaking it, the farming comunity would start to comply
  4. there saying it could be worse tonight, hope not, looks like we escaped down here, not a lot of carnage, a few trees down, will have to and check our felling sight tommorow, on past blows I'm expecting a lot down, took 3 weeks to clear the last lot up
  5. any of your local commercial vehicle parts suppliers should be able to help, it is after all a european machine, as are volvo, scania, iveco, and these parts companies can supply parts for all these, why should a renault be any different
  6. just dont burn it in an open fire, for all that eucy is benificial when in "medicines and things", the smoke of it can be very irritating to both eyes and chest, the wood remains quite oily when dry and it burns really well, if a little hot
  7. hope you claimed your tax relief on them....................the machines , not the knickers.....lol
  8. its a plan to bring russia to its knees, but its not working, russia produces gas, europe needs that gas, russia is now selling its gas for gold only, it will not deal in dollars, the big plan is failing, expect to see oil prices rise sharply as the US discovers that Putin wont give in to there petty demands, hang on to the wood stocks because as soon as the cheap fill on the heating oil is gone , the clients will be back
  9. get the new mill up and paying for itself, and a few more building projects in store
  10. your looking at 3-5 months with no problems, and doing what the pyhsio tells you, any problems and it could be never getting full use back, you'll grow to hate your "blue" rubber band, (anyome who's had a shoulder op will know what I mean), start light and dont overdo it, thats what the young upcomers are for...lol..., you should be back to norm by the middle of the year, good luck and enjoy the enforced break
  11. get the heavy duty ones, and find out if you have the agri lift kit fitted, (discs around an inch thick fitted to the springs, and a bracket extending the shocks), you can reset the load sensor , the measurements are in the workshop manual, also do you have an anti roll bar fitted, this stiffens the rear up as well
  12. keep up the good work Graham, it'll be nice to see it running and turning out some nice timber again, should be ready in time for the glut of larch that 'll hit the market soon
  13. just remember, doesnt matter how much youve got sticking out the front, exceed 20mph and they'll have you, most cops are getting switched on to tractors and 20mph now
  14. you could probably get 2 power packs for what it would cost to fit hydraulics to a more modern landrover, and the pack would be more reliable as well
  15. if anyone cares to check up, they will find that every "councill" in the country actually has 2 setups, the councill, with all its restrictions and rules, and the councill ltd, a private corporation run purely to make a profit, thats how they can get away with all the underhand things they get up to
  16. mogs with OM352 engines DO NOT have heater plugs, some are fitted with the start pilot system.....which is excatly the same as easy start, in that it is ether based, a SMALL squirt of easy start will fire the engine on the coldest days, if your worried about it knackering your engine, get some spray brake cleaner, its not as aggresive as ether, and since they took the kero base out of wd40, its about the only one that will work, (the OM 362 doesnt have heater plugs either)
  17. tack on tommy's been involved with that build up
  18. whats this last day of work thing?, thursday follows wednesday and comes before friday, only thing different is a big dinner, catch up on work thats been put off for various reasons throughout the year ready to start the new year with no backlog on what needs doing..........Xmas, bah hombug.....lol
  19. whatever someone is prepared to pay for it
  20. just got the logosol "specials " in, the kilns are on offer at the moment
  21. your alli chequer plate is very slippy when wet and surprisinly doesnt have a lot of strength, it would be a lot better laid over exterior ply or solid timber, the best solution would be keruen, same as is used on truck floors( far eastern hard wood grown in the mangrove swamps, is about 30% silica, and very very hard !!) it would outlast the steel
  22. no comment, as everyone is to blind to realise the difference between lawfull and legal, you can sort it out yourselves, just remember the wonderfull phrase"governed by consent"
  23. chris, speak to your local tractor supplier about mitas tyres, proper speed ratings, and a lot cheaper than ac price
  24. yes, done that one, use the 150a rated ones(red), and run a heavy feed right from the battery, min 25mm2 use a mega fuse rated at 200a as close to the battery as you can and take the ground from your plug straight to a good chassis ground
  25. need to turn your unit into a "live trap", not to difficult to get in......but impossible to get out, ........then dig a big hole
