  1. Not sure about the size area your looking to plant in here in the states we have a Drake Elm or Weeping elm, not sure if available in your local. Med. growth rate and is well trainable mature size 7 to 10 " caliper and 20 to 30' spread, nice for shade. elg
  2. Here in the states I like Corona pruners or "secateurs". My Corona's do not gum up on me like felcos do and the cost is about the same. elg
  3. Welcome barry, Wishing you the best! elg
  4. Wow lot's of good comment's regarding the very first thread I have read where the punishment at least this time fit the crime. I would have loved the chance to crush the transport myself. As for the malcontents that have any sort of sympathy for the folks caught in the act and having there means of transport crushed TOO BAD!!!!!, Have a Great Weekend, mind just got a whole lot better!!!!!. elg
  5. I actually heard two weeks ago someone during a radio interview from Chicago, Illinois. USA " There should be a law against having to walk outside when it is so hot outside". Of course this person was from Chicago, and she was in my humble opinion very serious, "Seriously Stupid", that is. elg
  6. Although I did not see this video in question, I will not tolerate any cruelty for animals in general and dog and cats in particular. I am sure this sort of madness exist here in the states as well and I can't really say what would happen to the perp on this site if I caught them going after an animal. Let's say the animal would not be suffering any more torment from such a person again and leave it at that. elg
  7. Very nice jammy! elg
  8. RIP Major Winters, My eternal thanks from but a few of my generation that truly are thankful for everything your band of brothers accomplished. A rosary will be said in your honor. elg

  11. go 50:1 better to smoke a little than burn a lot. elg
  12. Toprotter, I commend your effort. I believe you will be successful. Might I suggest sitting down and roughly calculate how much $$$ you will save from not smoking and start a fund. Use this for what ever you wish other than going back to smoking, and really enjoy yourself. By making this decision you will be starting a long and difficult journey, but you will adapt and overcome. This is the first 1.5 days + or - of the rest of your smoke free life. All the best. elg
  13. Peter Anthony Allen, 13-8-64
  14. Kev is right also same standard here in the states. What you can claim for loss wages is interesting. I have served and also been called back on 3 different cases, last 3 I got out of it for one reason or another. elg.
  15. Not much more than an hour out and back, had to do more with my work load for any given week. Traffic, weather, and really bad drivers discourage much more travel than that. elg
  16. Not surprising, theft of and metal is still up however since the cops turned the charges into Felony's many of the thief's are in the pokie where they belong. Although new housing is way down about 4 years ago it was not uncommon for entire new homes to be stripped of all wire with a long rope attached to the pig tail leading out to the main service. Within in a matter of seconds 50 to 80 K $$$ lost, builder/bank left holding the repair job. More than the wire came out and down the road they all went. elg
  17. Wow, The expression I use here in the states "As tough as pulling hens teeth" sounds like it's origins are from your quoted expression. When really describing a tough task at hand I use this expression. I did read a while back ago about the mutant chickens I believe from Asia as well. Glad we got that all sorted out. elg
  18. I am not sure about Ducks having teeth but chicken's do and if you were a dentist you would understand how hard it is when "pulling hens teeth!". elg
  19. Folks, Take as many pictures of your equipment and any serial numbers or other forms of ID and keep all of this information safe and secure just for situations like this. elg.
  20. With Great power comes great Responsibility; Ben Parker. Amy Winehouse I believe made her decision a long time ago about the future of her life. She did not choose wisely. May the Solider who lost his life in combat RIP and my deepest condolences for his family/friends. The people of Norway have suffered a terrible loss at the hands of Terrorist willing to kill if someone is deported. These people never had a chance esp. the campers who's hopes and dreams were all wiped clean. I understand how numb the people of Norway feel at the moment and also the selective reporting the news media will continue since for the most part they to have sold their souls along time ago. elg
  21. Wish I could have been there in the flesh, I will leave the rest for my memories of growing up in the Maryland/Penn, USA elg

  25. I concur with woodpicker and most everyone else for reasons already stated. I am just wondering about your own reasons for this activity during your 1st Trimester? Will you be able to increase your own self esteem by attempting this?, ego, or some other reasons? More curious than any thing else. I wish you the best. Take care and be safe. elg
