  1. Anyone doing any picking this year ? I've done 3 days on Noble Fir this year, it seems it's Noble fir's year as there's a bumper crop compared to other species.
  2. Contact Derek, he will help you out. http://www.chipperdoctor.co.uk
  3. Funny enough, I don't remember the Larch so that must be a typo ?
  4. If anyone is looking for a subbie grounds man or 2nd climber in South Wales then get in contact with Liam Kealy, above. I've recently done a couple of days climbing for him and I can't recommended him enough. Kept the ground clear below the tree, made sure my rope was always clear of any snags and run the ropes well when we lowered any bits. A good guy to know and use.
  5. Ian Morgan ?
  6. Start with taking the relay out and giving the pins and maybe the terminals a clean, still no joy then try a new one
  7. How does it work as regards to income tax on allowances similar to this ?
  8. This guy will answer your questions, http://www.chipperdoctor.co.uk/

    Euro 2016

Thats the best game of this euro's I've seen. Well done Wales
  10. I had a snaking experience in a 7.5 ton truck towing a 20m trailer base mewp going down the M23. Slowly came off the throttle and it stopped, I assume it could happen in any sized vehicle.
  11. Looks good Al, you can't go far wrong with a Iveco. Easy to maintain and cheap parts. I've had 2 over the years.

    Euro 2016

    And another 👍
  13. If you've be using your dads old blue 3 strand, have you been using a pulley for you top anchor ? If not and your running the rope through a fork or over a branch, before you buy a nice new expensive double braid rope i'd have a think about buying a rigging pulley or you new rope unfortunately won't last that long once you start lowering any decent size bits.
  14. When it doesn't start, just try cracking open the fuel cap and then closing it again and then try starting. I know a guy recently that tried that and it worked so possibly could be a tank breather problem ?
  15. Sorry to high jack the thread but anyone got any ideas on this one.
  16. Looks good, I'm glad Derek was useful.
  17. Well done Leicester
  18. As Joe has said, there's a few of us that can splice. Your New England 'Agama' is a easy rope to splice
  19. 16mm Sirus bull rope
  20. Wildtrackers near Abergavenny
  21. You read some interesting publications Mark
  22. It moved in a particularly unnatural way, just a gentle sway when i moved about.
  23. Thanks Timon 👍
  24. I'd have to agree with Darrin, damage/wear like that don't happen overnight. Like others have said, running a slack chain causes 'chain slap' and the nose on that bar has been slapped 100%.
