  1. I don't use this guy, but had a discussion with him about hand splices and he IS a arb equipment inspector.
  2. Yes, when it comes to this, 'if the splice hasn't got a CE mark on it, then I can't pass it' thing that I've heard LOLER inspectors say. This was the same guy that didn't know the first thing about ropes, their construction or splicing them. They go on a 3 day course and away they go, he has never climbed in our industry, so how on earth would he know about the type of equipment we use.
  3. Well said Nod. I've meet LOLER inspectors that don't know what half of our equipment is used for. Surely if you don't know what a piece of equipment is used for, how do you know where it might wear ?
  4. Try Wildtrackers, between Brecon and Abergavenny 01873 812557
  5. I had a couple of courses of anti inflammatory tablets from my GP, seemed to help to get over the worse.
  6. Where does it leak ? Mine leaked on the side zips and Clarks replaced the zips with waterproof ones free of charge.
  7. Sorry I've just seen the price
  8. How much Mark ?
  9. Husky 550/560
  10. Or the 555, basically the same saw but around £100 cheaper
  11. I'm no expert mechanic but I've done the bearings on my 35/150. It's not as hard as you may think.
  12. You'd be surprised, where are you based ? I bet there's a few members on here that would help you out by giving you a go.
  13. I used about 4 different tracked forst's and non of them have tracked completely straight.
  14. Go for the lightweight, there as tough as old boots. I've got a 15" one that I use on a husky 560 and every so other I'll put it on the 372.
  15. That picture was taken on woodside green, south Norwood near Croydon.
  16. The nose is replaceable, have a chat with Rob.
  17. I've been trying them since May to try to get some parts for a log splitter.
  18. Hi Sam, Yes there's a few guys on here, seed collecting by climbing every year. I usually spend a few days from early September until mid October collecting seeds from various trees, mainly evergreens. Can be a real messy job on some of the species.
  19. Some serious rain here this evening, the lane looks more like a river
  20. I had problems last night, crashed after about 15 seconds. Fine now though.
  21. Grid point GB
  22. The winds picking up here in west wales
  23. I've had my 540 for two and a half years and find it great.
  24. In and around the Surrey area, the Dosco was a very popular chipper in the mid to late 90's, normally silver if I remember rightly.
