  1. Each to their own but I've got 2 x MS200T, one that is unused and still in the box but I still prefer the 540 over them.
  2. Sundays as it's when I go to church !
  3. Sugi hara with out a doubt, it'll outlast both husky or Oregon bars many times over
  4. I've had my 540 for over 2 years, contract climbing 6 days a week and I'm still on my original rear AV spring so it just down to how you use them.
  5. Very nice Adam
  6. Exactly the same here, I've gone back to using semi chisel
  7. You could try ringing mwmac, they've got a couple of instructors that are LOLER inspectors
  8. Funny enough i had a day subby climbing up near you the week before last. Try walking part of the coastal path from new quay going south next time, the views are great.
  9. Had a 20 minute spell of heavy rain, winds, thunder and lighting about 1pm. A house about 15 miles away got struck and sadly I heard tonight 4 people got hit by lightening in the Brecon Beacons and 2 of them have died in hospital
  10. Good find, we could try it down Pembroke Dock ?
  11. Ordered my 3rd, 4th and 5th bar last Wednesday evening and they arrived on the Friday. To anyone thinking about getting one of these bars, I say go for it. They might be more expensive but they last much, much longer than your usual bars. Excellent service and bars Rob, Thanks mate
  12. I always deal with Martin in the their workshop. Always been spot on with me, sends parts out overnight to me and happy to give me advice when I'm stuck,
  13. Have you tried stanton hope ?
  14. Thanks Ti, it's was good meeting you all. It's shame we had to hit the Cedar as hard as we did but with the weak union, the bracing, the trees location and what the customer wanted our hands were tied really.
  15. I've got 60m of Yale Portland braid.
  16. I done a job yesterday and the customer said 'I've got a tub of chain oil I don't need, would you like it ?' I said 'yes please' and he brought this out, all 125ml of it !
  17. Its essential to have them to work on the lines.
  18. That's the impulse hose that's come off, not the fuel line. Try a new one on it and see if it still does it.
  19. Guy I work with has one, great saw for the money. Too many people think they've got to get a saw from the xp range.
  20. I've taken saws on the ferry to France many times over the last 8 years, never had a problem.
  21. Like others have said, Yvonne contacted me today regarding my coat and she was very, very helpful. Its a pleasure to get such good customer / after sales service. I'd highly recommend Clarks to anyone.
  22. Don't forget by put 2 climbers on 1 system your putting double the forces on your anchor point ?
  23. That's a big piece to be rigging off ! As I understand it, without working it out I can only guess the weight of that size of timber but a object doubles in weight ever foot it falls when you come to stopping it. So something 100kg falling 1 foot weighs 200kg, if it falls a further foot it weighs 400kg, another foot 800 kg. So with a piece of beech like that which I guess could weigh approx 750kg, you could soon get up to your working limits.
  24. Thanks for the info, I'll get in touch with them.
  25. Climbed most of today in driving rain and mine leaked through the side zips, never really noticed it before though.
