  1. I had a 4kw system put in last year for just under 6 k. Should pay for itself in about the 5th year with what you save on bills if you punch clever and with the F.I.T payments. Up to a 15% to 20% return on your money over the 20 year F.I.T term.
  2. I'm not sure replacement rings are available but I could be wrong. You could replace them with a shackle type connector that other harnesses use.
  3. The x torq's have a slightly different piston to non x Torq models that have 2 recessed sections in the piston skirt. Maybe something has got stuck in one of those and that's why you can't see it.
  4. Is the plug getting wet (smelling of petrol) ?
  5. -8 in parts of mid wales this morning. I worked yesterday in the rain and this morning the karabiners needed defrosting to open them and my climbing rope was as stiff as a wire rope.
  6. And me, gets rid of that sweaty head smell for a few months
  7. What with a spear cut ?
  8. Yes the letterbox is still used and taught
  9. I'm 41 and climb nearly all day, 6 days a week but I work with a guy sometimes that's 58. He had a heart attack a couple of years back and he is still very good
  10. Most boys I know run 15" but 1 guy runs a 18" with no problems. Also a few if them have changed the drive spocket/bar from .325 to 3/8.
  11. It could of been the Swedish cut, it's for a small diameter forward leaning tree that's basically to small to do dog tooth cut on.
  12. Horizontal rain and blowing
  13. I've always gone on x3 diameter once fully tightened.
  14. I was just going to ask the same
  15. Steve, I've messages the members who won my prizes. Thanks mate.
  16. I'd would of thought it was more, maybe a 6 or 8:1 ratio ?
  17. I phone here, worked fine
  18. I've been called out to a few windblown trees over the years via the fire brigade. Members of the public have rang them, they've contacted the out of hours council helpline and then the council have rang me ? If your that worried about it and you think it's going to fall, maybe try that route.
  19. I cut my grass at home New Year's Eve, neighbours looked at me like I was nuts !
  20. Out of interest, where are you planning on having you splices tested ?

I can recommend the ones sold by Collins nets, not cheap but very good quality.
  22. A touch of sleet about lunchtime but apart from that rain all day here in west wales
  23. Depends on where in the West Midlands your based but Wildtrackers near Abergavenny isn't that far away, 01873 812557.
  24. When its nice, you couldn't live anywhere better but we do get our fair share of rain.
  25. How about a trip to west wales in the future, there's a few AT'ers that would give you a warm welcome
