  1. This is what you need, you can mash stuff up with it [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Oregon-295508-0-Universal-Brushcutter-Husqvarna/dp/B00RZH1MGM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1449448045&sr=8-2]Oregon One-For-All 295508-0 Universal Mulching Brushcutter and Clearing Saw Blade 3 Tooth for Stihl, Husqvarna, Mitox, Echo, Kawasaki and Other Machines: Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31i4uOAZeEL.@@AMEPARAM@@31i4uOAZeEL[/ame]
  2. Great, I've just built a snow plough for mine No snow to test it out yet though lol Also built a towbar that attaches onto the skip
  3. Is it a mulcher blade with the turned down ends? They are the best
  4. Has anyone got/used one of the petrol powered circular saw benches? (haven't got a tractor/pto) I wonder how easy they are to drag around?
  5. The only thing to watch with burning rhody is due to the shape of the stems (big tangled mess) it doesn't always "sit down" on a fire very well, so it burns out in the middle. Obviously helps to cut the stems into smaller pieces. Another suggestion, assuming you don't get a digger in! Send someone round with a strimmer with a mulching blade to try and reduce the volume of the thinner stuff and make a bit of room!

    snow

It has been a cracking day up here for working, ok not sunny but no rain and defiantly no snow!
  7. Maximum allowed width for 3.5t vehicles is 2.4m but ideally you don't want it much wider than the towing vehicle Personally I would say save up for a 2nd hand trailer as it will save you a lot of hassle and time. Bare in mind that they never seem to lose much value, you could probably sell it on in a few years for about what you paid for it!

    Boots

Chainsaw willies are murder! Only useful if you're skint/starting out or working in water!
  9. The rock machinery splitter is sold as a road tow but only up to 45mph

    bloody mice!

I hate mice, they seems to be on a rampage in the sheds right now, chewing on anything foamy. Air filters on machines, ear defenders, spare pipe lagging, lost a whole box of unused mini roller sleeves! I've had success with traps in the past but don't seem interested at the minute. I will have to try one of those bucket traps. Got two 4month old kittens, wee brother and a sister, hoping they will grow in to good mousers! Had to put an older cat down earlier this year, she wasn't much of a hunter though
  11. Don't know what the chassis cab/tipper set up is like but on the panel vans you will usually find that the mechanism to lower the spare wheel has seized solid! Cutting the cable may be the only way out. And that's assuming someone hasn't already stolen the spare wheel!
  12. Now I'm somebody who's not the slightest bit interested in this 'black friday' pish But got an email today saying you can get 20% Ghillie Kettles this fri/sat/sun ghillie kettles "Enter code AB100 at checkout and click on the + sign" :thumbup1:
  13. Have a look at the Tanaka tbc 600, it has lower vibrations than the stihl, similar size engine and price
  14. Great, I always like seeing your videos metsa Not the whole country - just the southern parts!
  15. Heard the advert on the radio, I want to know what a Douglas Spruce looks like and where can I get one I once had someone telling me how the trees they were pointing at were very valuable timber, seen it on telly, they build boats out of it, and it's called a Macdonald Pine

    Brash cart

    Looks good
  17. What's the ground conditions like, put up some photos How narrow/agile does the machine have to be?
  18. I like this video. Six backpack blowers and a massive vacuum! [ame] [/ame]
  19. Mulching a path through head high gorse (rubbish phone camera!)
  20. I've no idea why, but this guy has built a contraption to compare blowers! Although his T shirt suggests he might be a bit biased! [ame] [/ame]

    Log storing

If you have spare stock netting kicking about you can make rings out of that, a few metres wide, and you can go 2 or 3 high. Ideally with pallets underneath or the bottom logs will stay wet. And with some sort of tarp/plastic over the top The only problem is you really have to empty them in a oner as once you start taking logs out you lose the shape of the roof
  22. The Fiskars powergear are very good, looks like DIY grade rubbish, but they have lasted well. Only annoying thing was having to glue the ends of the handles back on within the first few weeks!
  23. Stumbled across this on youtube via the "suggested videos" , the camcorder is out of the ark but I thought it looks a good set up for doing your own wood [ame] [/ame]
  24. [ame] [/ame] cheesy!
  25. I think the Husky is the more powerful machine on paper, I've got the 580BTS and it is a beast, like a jet pack!
