  1. Does depend what size posts you're putting in and what depth, some post holers are narrow and short (roughneck), some are wider and longer (Eliza tinsley etc)
  2. Just recently got the Kaaz pro 21" 4 wheel mower, it will be similar to your roller Kubota. Fitted the mulching kit, not put much use on it yet but very happy so far
  3. Looks like it's only me that uses Oregon semi synthetic, 5l for just over 20 quid, been using it for years with no issues
  4. I cleared an area of about 100/200 square metres of very dense bamboo, up to 3m high with a brushcutter in 2011 think it was. We then had a mini digger in to get the roots out, and numerous bonfires. Regrowth was sprayed with glyphosate. Even after all that it sill occasionally pops up a few new shoots every year
  5. Nice shed Did you manage to get the bamboo roots out? It can be a pig, and can keep popping up forever !
  6. Speaker on the Aldi rugged phone packed in after a week Got a replacement one so will see how that goes. After a week of no charge, it's still showing a full battery!

And I bet all he got for it was enough to pay the fuel and maybe buy a burger before heading home?!
  8. I've not used Abbey garden sales for parts, but when buying machines off them I've had very poor service and wouldn't use them again
  9. Yes you can also buy specific windbreak netting, sold in different %'s depending on how much wind it blocks. Just needs some stakes knocked in, or you could cable tie it to existing stock fences. Debris netting is still nice and cheap though
  10. What about experimenting with debris netting tied on. It will allow some air through but keep the worst of rain out
  11. What about keeping an eye out for a knackered pressure washer/generator/etc with a Honda engine. Still a bit of a gamble. But the Honda gx engines are good!
  12. Got the aldi phone. Camera is rubbish and there's no predictive text, but apart from that seems a decent enough basic phone that should stand up to abuse!
  13. I wired up work lights, reverse lights, and interior lights on a box trailer I used to have. Just did it through a grey caravan socket.
  14. Sort of related... a passenger in a vehicle was killed in Inverness after crashing into an unlit artic trailer Chances missed to save father | Inverness Courier | Home
  15. There's one coming up in Aldi tomorrow by chance, don't know if it's any good, but I will probably be getting one! https://www.aldi.co.uk/rugged-mobile-phone/p/069930022893700
  16. Just to bump an old thread!! Here's a new log store I've been slowly working on when I have the spare time It will be getting slatted sides at some point, just glad to have the roof finished The roof is 17ft by 32ft
  17. Useful wee thing
  18. Not today, but a couple of weeks back, using the new (to me) tracked barrow to cart a couple ton of beech down a steep hill Just the ticket
  19. 240v impact wrench in Lidl next Monday > Parkside Impact Wrench - Monday, 28.03. - Lidl UK £29.99, should be ok for occasional use
  20. Harry Potter train aint going anywhere at the minute! West Coast Railway Company prohibited from main line running
  21. She's a clever lass. It's a windy day and if she got out at the same time all the crisp packets/receipts/papers from the cab would be strewn across the field! Wish my other half could learn this!
  22. It's a good video, but the website address at the start and end is wrong
  23. I would say get an air powered one
  24. I feel sorry for him
  25. Oh and I did eventually get the vinyl cutter working again!
