  1. You could make £50/day out on the hills planting trees, no experience or tools required and you'd probably get a lift to site! But if you're happy with what you get paid and your job then thats what matters. If you're not, you need to ask for more or find a new employer £30-£40 a day after you take off your costs is better than being sat on your arse earning nothing
  2. Here, there's a company near forfar that claim to make their briquettes on site, 20kg bag for £5
  3. Looks like a townie in fancy dress
  4. I've got a set of the dickies winter overalls Wrong time of the year to be needing them though?
  5. Billing Aquadrome is a "holiday park" : campsite/caravans/statics/ponds etc
  6. :001_huh: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dKDOAjlKBWo]YouTube - Horse beating pikey makes my day[/ame]
  7. Stick a rope on and drag the car to the next layby or the service area a mile down the road
  8. You could try Tough Packaging - http://www.bagsonline.co.uk/ They do carriers, and clear plastic bags etc
  9. Bit more info on this page Safety at street works and road works (and loads more pages on that site!)
  10. Are you looking for anyone in the Highlands? I notice one of the local forests has a new Fountains sign up
  11. Fluorescent yellow is pointless as once it gets slightly dirty it turns greenish, which funnily enough is the same colour as the trees/grass! I dont get why the forestry commission etc like wearing yellow vests whilst working out in the woods. They would probably be more visible wearing a black T shirt! Maybe they use it as a form of camoflage?
  12. You can also get hazzard bunting for about a tenner for a roll It's like an orange plasticy cord (simmilar to washing line!) with little red and white plastic bits hanging off. Often used to mark overheard wires on building sites etc. If you had somehting to wrap it up on after use it could be stored quite neatly
  13. Doesn't seem very cheap, thats about £350 worth in the photo at the top Can you not use blue polyprop rope between cones like on roadworks Or plastic red and white planks with rope fed through inside, supported by cones (bulky to store though)
  14. Do you have any small local T shirt printers? Often these places will let you supply your own clothes, with them charging a couple pound per item for printing/embroidery So you can go and pick the workwear you prefer and take it to them
  15. Yes it's a scam, have heard it mentioned loads of times on various forums They called me once saying I had signed up to something or the other, I just told them I knew it was a scam and hung up
  16. When is someone going to start making chainsaw shorts, it seems a waste buy a new pair of trousers just to cut the bottoms off

    Uh-oh

Either that or they were happy enough to have their saw back, and went home leaving it like that
  18. Funnily enough I was cutting/splitting/stacking logs for next winter today. We burn a heck of a lot in the house on the rayburn so right now not sure how much I will have available for sale. Also haven't yet been able to get a yard
  19. I've had my transit mk6 remapped by Martyn too EGR blanked off aswell, you just need a wee bit of tin

  22. I'm sure the gransfors are great axes, but I've had a cheapo fibreglass one for about 5yrs and it's now only showing wear after I lent it to someone
  23. Each to their own, if that was local I would've been round there tomorrow. Assuming its not a big rotten mess, and they dont expect me to clear up the sawdust etc
