  6. I'd like to go but making that trip in my transit would cost a fortune. Anyone going from the Cambs, Suffolk, Essex area that I could get a lift with? Ed.
  7. BL Searle at Gamlingay did my two. Highly recommend them.
  8. Welcome James, I'm also from Cambridge. Are you working for a local firm? Ed.
  9. I've got the biggest triple ext ladder I could find locally (made by Youngs i think). Never goes out the garage and I want the space. Yours for £125+Vat if you want it. I think At full ext. it's close to 11mtrs. Very sturdy.
  10. Did mention on another tread that I was interested but now have to take the truck as I have a job on route. See you there.
  11. You think about it far to much.
  12. Hi Tinker, just found this message so sorry for not replying sooner.

  13. Thanks for reminding me David. Just downloaded it. Looks like it will be a very useful app.
  14. Or he may be up his own chocolate starfish. Come on unimog72, join in - we are only having a crack-en.
  15. I think that you'd probably be wasting a lot of money on parts you don't need. It sounds like the carb issue wasn't fixed. Spuds the man - he does mail order fixes if your not local.
  16. If I was you I'd post my location and ask nicely if someone would be willing to show you. But this is how i do it: I lock the flywheel by hooking a claw hammer on the fins and rotating the wheel until it locks against the housing. Clean out the muck from the torx bolts heads throughly so the the bit seats properly. You need a T50 torx bit and a decent size breaker bar. If the blades haven't been changed for a while they may be a real arse to get out. With your left hand put a lot of pressure behind the head of the breaker bar to keep it firmly in the torx bolt whilst with your right hand slowly try and rotate the bar. If you manage to get all three out, clean any crud off the blade seats and if the bolts are reusable, clean the treads and apply copper grease before putting the new blades on. Remove hammer! Torque setting for the bolts is 60Nm or 45lbs ft.

One date refresher would be advisable. You have to learn a few technics that you we never use again.

  21. Hi ICTrees, hope you don't mind me piggy-backing your tread but I too need a chip and wood site for a job near oxford that in plan
  22. Where do you get either from?
  23. £650! I wouldn't be taking that anywhere near a tree even if it could cope with it. I got miffed after replacing a watch twice in one year. Now stick to watches with fabric strap. Found it hard to find a casio ( my preference), had to order one from America. £20.
  24. this is the number I used: 0845 601 4516. call centre were very helpful. unfortunately the local branch were incompetent and never turned up on the day they were supposed to. Would like to know if anyone else has had this experience and whether you can claim compensation for wasted time.
  25. Gladly? I would still be shiiting it!
