  1. One i made for my parents a few years ago.
  2. I have found windsor chains to be an inferior product. I had a new chain smash within 5mins running.
  3. have you got the instruction manual, it should tell you in there.
  4. We had a lovely walk around villages in the peak district. Got ripped off in a cafe tho', so that put a damper on things, but it was good to get out the house.
  5. My parents got me a new compressor to replace the 30yr old knackerd one i've been persevering with, my inlaws got me some old spice:sneaky2: the kids got me some books and the wife has me a camera on order:thumbup:
  6. I wish you had a bigger dolmar to try out.
  7. Hi, i really like the look of the bench next to the fire, it really suits it. Out of interest, at the beginning of the thread you mentioned you had a big makita, would that be the 7900, if so how do you find it with milling. I,m still undecided about what to get, thats all, plus my small makita is a really reliable machine.
  8. No, no,no, i think i will stay on the ground thanks.
  9. Theres nowt wrong with a 135, i love using ours.
  10. This was my present to myself. But i think i might get myself a new dog in the new year. I quite fancy a border collie.
  11. A box. A fire. A beer or two for me. Sorry, never got on with my wifes family. Her dad never even attended our wedding ten years ago. He still doesnt say much to me and her mam doesnt say anything, and her auntie, well i wont go there.
  12. I think for site work, your better off with a circular saw for ripping / crosscutting. I have seen the mafell version before as well. The only thing i would consider is the makita chain morticer, which i think would be ideal in framing.
  13. A kitchen table made out of pine and then painted finish on legs and stained and clear varnish finish on top.
  14. My wife has just renewed with them for the 2nd time, and i have just transferred to them. Cheapest my a mile for us. Also done thru meerkats.
  15. I've just swapped my c15, and bought this. Well pleased with it, but still fancy a wee jimny to use as a van.
  16. I like the look of that.
  17. Them liverbird towers look like the old wembley twin towers to me.
  18. i have been for a walk tonight, seen a small storm windblow, blocking a footpath that is hard to get to. If its still there at the weekend, i will cut it up and have it. Clear the footpath as well. I personally carnt see the problem.
  19. Makita, i run a ea4300, had it about 18mths now. Carnt really fault it. So for me it has to be makita.
  20. Dont forget the makita range. They do some nice saws, well capable of doing what you want.
  21. As the others have said, not much to choose between any of the top makes, just depends on what colour you prefer. But another name to add is that of matabo. I use matabo drills at work and really rate them. If not them then i'd go makita.
  22. when i first started out as an apprentice joiner in the 80's, my first van was a Bedford HA van in green. Really loved that van. Have always had small vans, they suit me down to the ground. Now looking to replace my citroen c15 with a newish berlingo. Still wanting an old tractor tho.
  23. Never been bothered about mogs, but i saw this little cutie yesterday and fell in love with it. I dont know what model it is or anything. The guy using it was using it to carry his 5 ton mini digger around. It was a nice little set up.
  24. At The hospital where i work, the gardners lost about 10k worth of gear, and nearly lost their van. This was at mid day, and three of them broke into the workshop whilst the gardeners were upstairs having lunch. This was in doncaster. 3 men, white transit.
  25. 43, and old enough to realise i prefer to work alone if possible.
