    Been on cashback deals for years. E2save currently have Vodafone sim only deals at £8.75/month for unlimited texts and calls with 8 gig of data. Full contract price goes through your books and the cashback cheque paid to you personally:) No phone included but plenty of cast offs from the kids!

    Last time I looked at the Komet/Millar instructions life span was up to 10 years from manufacture date, but only 5 years in use, so the harness can spend up to 5 years on the shelf, then 5 years in use. If its damaged, get it professionally checked out

    From a self preservation veiw, if your used to a chainsaw then a winblown ticket would be more use to you but you probably need 30/31 first. Really though its the agents call what he would accept- as its not really a work environment he may accept one of the LANTRA occaisional users tickets which will be alot cheaper

    At 119 your looking at a ban so suggest you write in and explain the situation pronto and request the photo evidence. As has been said someone else may have your plates on a faster vehicle. In your shoes Id also get your defender inspected by a reputable garage with a rolling road to confirm your truck is knocking out stock power and is unmodified. If you have a professional report stating that the truck is unlikely to be able to do 119 it may help if the case goes to court.

    Assuming your using interlocking concrete tiles and extending an existing roof the just strip a bit of the existing roof to see how its done. Have a good look at the existing verge to get that right and maybe strip a row of existing tiles so you can run a stringline along an existing batten to give you the starting line for the new bit. Maybe look to buy a seconhand scaffold tower and sell again when your done which will probably work out cheaper than hiring. Good luck:)

    If you are doing domestic work, you'll never be on a level playing field with non VAT registered outfits- you have to charge 20% VAT to the customer and they dont. You can discount what you charge the customer by the VAT you claim back but you will always have to charge some element of VAT that non registered outfits dont.

    The back boiler will need a gravity loop into a hot water tank/thermal store to dissapate heat. You can pump from the bolier into central heating but you always need the gravity loop to dump heat if theres a power cut.

    If its listed as a classified ad its the same as putting it in your local shop or paper and its up to you and the buyer to sort things out- normal auction or buy it now rules dont apply. Pretty sure you cant leave feedback on a classified listing.

    Theres a list of clubs on the DVLA web site that DVLA use as "experts" to verify the tractors age and model from the info you give the club. Once the club has verified the age and model DVLA will then give the tractor an age related plate. Search the DVLA web site for V765 which is the old vehicle registration scheme.

    They maybe jumping on the bandwagon, but its reckoned that up to 25% of the population has an intolerance to wheat so there maybe sound reasons why so many are cutting wheat/gluten out.

    6"is about the largest log I'd use so cord at that size just goes through the circular saw but a cone splitter will take it down to kindling size if you want, but probably a bit tricky if you using a digger mounted one Largest dia I've had on a Hycrack 2 is 3 1/2 foot ring but its not just the diameter that matters as I've had gnarly 18" rings stall an old DB880. If you've got the power in the diggers hydraulics not to stall the cone then you'd get through some pretty sizeable trunks/chunks. Have look on youtube as theres plenty of clips there.

    The delivery driver wouldnt have left a card if he had got a signature and handed over the goods. Unless the driver gave out your name, how did the signatory know to sign in the name of M Gunner? A passing neighbour or someone you know forgotten to let you have it?? I would get down to the parcelfore depot pronto so they can ask the driver what happened and who he got a signature off before he forgets.

    The ltd co is "tied" to the director(s) of the ltd co. If one or more of the directors can show 2 years or more in the business then I cant see why the AA would make the ltd co wait 2 years for registration when theres a demonstrable track history

    Theres a pair keep hookin up on the roof of the barn in the yard next door to us. Not sure where the nest is, but be great to have some young uns around. We've had swallows/house martins sticking bits of mud high on a painted gable for years, but never built a nest. Are they that clever to test the glue out for a few years before they nest?

    The wifes been using a halifax personal account for years without a problem and paying in a handfull of cheques a week through the cash machine. Shes undoubtedly breaching the Ts and Cs but the worst they are likely to do is ask her to close the account. Blacklisting businesses or any other significant action is bad for publicity so I cant see that happening unless you get anal with them. On a 15k turnover as a sole trader any saving is good.

    "Fussy" might be under stating things a bit if the extractor draw starves the fire of oxygen and then draws carbon monoxide into the room.

    Bizarre rules they may be, but we all know them. Just shove any excess in your pockets and down your clothing and jobs a good un. I got pulled for having an overweight cabin bag and just put a laptop and 2 books down the front of my fleece. The girl at the gate just smiled and waved us on- the staff dont make the rules and are probably as bemused by them as we are.

    Thats pretty much the CE process, but its not always a requirement for a third party notified body to inspect. All I'm saying is that CE and LOLER are in place for good reason and are far from being onerous heeps of crap. As you said earlier, before CE marking no one gave a monkeys about standards and bought whatever the shop was selling. At least now with CE marking you can be fairly sure that what you buy is safe and if you have LOLER inspections, that it remains so.
