    Best axes.

I dont know if anyone on here has tried it but my boss tought me to lat with a side axe The crancked handle keeps you hands out the way better the head is thin and long and it is the right weight that if can be used for everything so no need to swap from an axe to a billhook Im by no means professional at this its just what i was taught to use and i found it very easy to use
  2. You can operate the brakes off of a spool valve just screw a male coupling in place of the brake coupling just remember to put the valve in float to move if there is no spare valve put an isolater switch on both hoses and switch when u wish to break
  3. If you want a real beast there are these 500cubic meters an hout i think it is Continental Biomass Industries, Inc. | CBI Horizontal Grinders | Whole Tree Chippers | A Terex Brand
  4. Ive used them for kubota parts and they are spot on sorced parts of a 20 something old machine within a couple of days for us

  6. Is this just for a phone or other things too ?? I have a Bluetooth speaker from halfords with a built in microphone just clips to the sun visor of whatever im driving or if out the machine can clip to my jacket was only 20 quid and is brilliant
  7. Paid 65-70 for a set of four of ebay plus beer tokens to the local tire place to fit Thats for 265 75 r 15 i think The bfgs wernt available in that exact size but the general grabers in the same pattern where 135 ithink and the bfg in the next nearest size where similar
  8. I have yokohama geolander at fitted to my ranger and am very happy with them They get very good reviews and not quite as eyewateringly expensive as bfg at nearly half the price
  9. Dakine make a backpack designed for carrying a chainsaw on mountain bike trails or at least they did Had a sheath init for the bar and straps for the engine
  10. Wasnt there a member on here who documented all the upgrades required to make it usable due to poor welding and to thin materials used in paces think it was on the stabiliser legs and crane It may be a different traailer but think it was a riko fast tow
  11. There is honestly no need to play that trick on the ranger engines u honestly wont believe how easy it is to to Is honestly just a case of lining a couple of painted on marks up No timing tools required and as it is just a drive from the crank to the cam there is nothing else driven A professional mechanic should be able to do it in 10 minutes a complete novice should be no longer than 20 there isnt anything to get in the way either with loads of accesss
  12. Depending on location you could speak to lgpeddie on here His Kubota is pretty much designed for this kind of work
  13. It does look a very nice machine One thing to be aware of atm is if looking for an ex farm machine the single farm payment is delayed so alot of farms will be holding of on replacing taractors until that is in the bank may be best to wait a few months when the sfp arrives there may be a few more machines on the market 5
  14. The British construction equipment forum currently has a good thread going currently on the same topic with links to a good selection of links for machines that would suit you
  15. Check for the ford courier its the same truck for the us and australasian market Or mazda b2500 there all the same truck
  16. Takes 15 mins take the plastic cover off No injection pump to worry about as its electric just makesure the 2 white marks on the crankshaft and the two yellow marks on the cam shaft line up fit the new belt and replace the plastic cover hob done
  17. I think a whole plug and play system is available from caravan places that should incorporate everything
  18. You could fit a battery on the trailer and a trickle charger from the lights on the 7 pin plug if you dont want to mess with the truck

    Avant 420?

Tbh although he could of used the telescopic boom to lift the front axle on i think the video actually just shows the shortcomings of not having a swinging rear axle or an oscillating joint Swing rear axle is in my opinion the best option i find the more stable than an oscilating joint machine but either is better than nothing I think the weiderman and schaffer or kramer machines look a better option as you sit on the rear part of the machine wich is far better when manoeuvring although the machine is taller so you loose some stability which would be easily enough cured with dual front tires
  20. We do it perfectly well on the south downs The method of applying the brakes is irrelevant its the actual drums and shoes fitted that make the difference Look under neath an air breaked silage or grain trailer and you will see the air piston and the hydraulic piston actuate the same leaver going into the brake drum for the s cam Therefore it is completely irrelevant which you use air just operates quicker And there are agricultural trailers on air with 4.5 inch brakes pads these would be worse for breaking than full width comercial drums with hydraulic pistons We run 10 trailers at work and the ones with lorry axles and hydraulic brakes stop great The ones with air and hydraulic that is standard on newer trailers is nothing like proper lorry breaking anyway
  21. I would look for 120hp A johndeere 64-- is a very nice size tracto Air brakes are not the be all and end all of braking The width of the pads is important Id rather tow with hydraulic brakes and 9 inch pads than air powered 4.5 inch pads Also check that there is 2 brake pistons per axle as one is not enough And most 40 kph tractors wont have air anyway And small 50 kph tractors dont seem that common The brakes on tractors supply a constant flow of oil to the trailer line so if you feel the need for for more braking force add more pistons although thats probally a better idea on 9 inch brakes only 120 hp will also power a 3 meter flail mower with ease and take a verge mower without falling over if you look at these in future
  22. The latest generation of jcbs are plastic lightweight junk honestly steer very clear of the new ones They are so light and plasticy and generally badly desighmed with cheap components imo would rather a class scorpion/kramer or a merlo of the new ones ive driven although do want to try schaffe and weiderman they look very nice but havnt driven them
  23. But buying one thats been fitted with a loader chances are there will be significantly more wear to the front axle especially if a rear weight hasnt been used second hand loaders arnt that uncommon i cant remember the name of the company but theres one in farm trader always advertising them then just buy a new sub frame and fit yourself so long as the joystick isnt something massively complicated
  24. Phone cherry engineering they seem to have everything for loaders
  25. Just remembered a bloke i know is trading in his 60 isuzu with 70000on the clock tacho fitted 2.5 ltr the dealer offered him 8000 trade in so he said he would take anything more than that if you are not picky on male the mazda b2500 or the older rangers are the best value around followed by poverty spec hiluxs
