  1. I think some of the smaller ones would just about be alright Obviously not a beast of a machine mulcher might have to go on the van For anyone interested There are 3.5 tonne rated trailers available for machinery that only weigh 500kgs so that hives you a fair machine
  2. Another option would be full on tracked skidsteer with will run some very hydraulic hungry kit And has a weatherproof cab
  3. Thanks
  4. Id be interested in that Does it get the phone delivered before general release date
  5. Type nissan navara snapped chassis group into face book To get and idea of the quality engineering
  6. I know this thread comes up regularly and i cant find the latest incarnation but i thought it might interest people that cat are releasing their newest model tough phone at the end of the month and its the first phone to offer built in flir thermal imageing camera This could prive useful as a very quick way to scan trees for sighns of decay infront of customers Cat S60 | Thermal Imaging Rugged Smartphone | Cat phones UK
  7. Thanks Gutless isnt important reliability is yhe factor Someone i know is interested in an overland vehicle So looking for a 4x4 that isnt a green oval
  8. Ive just seen it mentioned on here that there is a company importing them to the uk and wondered if there wjere any details
  9. Ive tried searching but cant find anything can anyone tell me the names of the dealer importing these Thanks
  10. Some bahco and snap on actually overlap seeing as they are owned by the same companyor share a supply company or something but bahco sockets are meant to be the budget range Although there strong they are just a shade more chuncky in places But some of it is identical like there 80 tooth ratchets About 1/4 of the price with bahco branding on
  11. Facom Gedore Stahlwille Hazet Beta Facom Are about the best of the best Toptul Bahco Britool Teng For slightly cheaper If you go halfords try to get a trade card first as its upto an additional 25% off tools And the cheapest place to get tools suprisingly seems to be amazon Or you could try ffx usually have sales on
  12. Milwaukee do one to fit there batterys if your looking for other tools as well But tbh i prefer a pistol grip grease gun with extra long hose Never runs out of battery smaller and the battery ones are very easy to over grease bearings
  13. Multiple ratchet straps will be fine just done up very tight use a bar if need be Its how plant lorrys move them if they havnt got locks fitted in the bed but two 5 ton ratchet staps should hold it fine empty itl only way maximum 2 tons
  14. Chances are its only got one service so will only be able to grab but depending on cost fixed selector grabs are available plenty on ebay that have 2 sets of pins at 90 degrees to eachother for use at different angles Or a freely rotating log grab again check ebay the grabs without ratator are quite cheap then just find someone to make a rotator easy enough for a welder if you dont want the pipes run through it Fixed grabs would require welding you could always just tie the crowd ram shut and remove the pipes for the rotate circuit of a log grab if you want but dunno what hire company would say
  15. I would personally prefer anderson or mini anderson conectors to go to a trailer for power much heavier duty than a caravan plug or if you Want multiple pins look at the hgv 24volt 7 pin connectors they are so much better quality have female on the trailer and truck and a double end suzie lead it will last a lot longer i think the 12volt plugs are aweful
  16. Just seen this on another forum Someone may like it https://www.donedeal.co.uk/plantmachinery-for-sale/kubota-r310-loader-backhoe-excavator-low-hours/11938398
  17. Im guessing the way it clearly says cars is the difference Commercial vehicles will probably still have a different system
  18. Im sure you could pick up an old core drill that would some of the vintage ones have some serious torque But if your going this far im sure ebay would yield a large electric motor with buckets of torque

    Avant 420?

The centre pivot should greatly improve stability in rough conditions the latest ag spec jcb and schafferr use this option whilst others pivot the back axle I think i would hate to drive one with no pivotand rocking between axles although the first time you get the back end of the ground and the cab tips sideway is a bit daunting Also if you watch a video of the avant traversing a ditch or climbing a kerb they look very difficult to control The giant has a lock for the pivot if loading pallets or leveling ground These thoughts are from using full size arctic loaders in an agricultural environment every day I also know that the full size machines with the cab on the front are very unpopular as in comparison to a conventional loading shovel as they require more consentration when manouvering and arnt as instinctive to drive

    Avant 420?

Someone on the ceforum is a dealer for giant equipment and there mini pivot steer tele looks worth a look think its german or Austrian made sitting on the rear section and oscillating joit aswell If running equipment is important would it be worth a look at an alpine tractor running on the pto is always going to be more efficient than hydraulic motors Or at a stretch a tracked skidsteer they will have more like 100lpm upwards hydraulic flow
  21. Would a 2 cx or 3 cx dipper swap onto an excavator easily ?? Im guessing a 3cx boom would suitable for an 7-8 tonner and 2cx would be suitable for 5 tonne ish ??
  22. Wi used to use an old yellow thing which i think was an entec and is now badged as the smallest timberwold It only had a tiny petrol engine think it was about 24hp but had a lot of hours on it and was still going strong it had been used on line clearance so not an easy life I think if your worried about lifespan go for the smaller engine less productive marginally but less power on the same components as i say that one was in the thousands of hours
  23. Moffets are quite good offroad and come in hundreds of setups our as telescopic forks a fixed mast and the front wheels turn to drive sideways The manitou version is even better as it uses telehandler design so could be fotte with buckets and the like However there expensive by comparison to a jcb rough terrain forklift And if your yard is gravel a normal forklift would cope if its kept clean just find one fitted with pneumatic tyres not solid ones and ull be fine
