  1. Elderberry as firewood? surely times are not that bad
  2. Petrol
  3. If your dealing with genuine gypsies then youd be hard pushed to find a more decent type of person. On the other hand if these are irish travellers then the likelihood of you getting ripped off/kit stolen etc is extremely high. we can only judge by our own experiences and i personally would have no dealings with then what so ever. If you dont get involved with them they cant rip you off.
  4. This is exactly what i done about 12 years ago and was the best thing i did, also all the rent is tax free.
  5. You say you process 7 ton a year, even if you were doing 70 ton i dont think that is enough to warrant buying a processor, last year i sold 120 cube and managed it easily with a petrol logsplitter ,saw bench & chainsaw.
  6. A very expensive lesson, hopefully he will learn from it. There are some very naive people out there, i sold a motorbike on ebay and the winning bidder sent the £650 through the post in cash, with a note saying " i will arrange a courier to pick up the bike in a couple of weeks". He was very lucky that im honest.
  7. Someone is going to come along and accuse us of being racist towards these lovely caravan dwellers, who are totally misunderstood and would never dream of stealing from hard working people or cut the padlocks from farmers fields so they can hare course, or destroy peoples property and nick everything inside, bully & intimidate old people to hand over their cash . But it wont be me. As said above: SCUM OF THE EARTH.
  8. When you say "hands", surely you mean another part of their anatomy.
  9. Great news and not suprised at all that they come from "the travelling communiity". They,ll get a slap on the wrist , but i doubt they will ever try you again as there are much easier targets out there. Tony martin had the right idea!!
  10. Wooden posts always rot at ground level, but as every post is spurred you dont have this problem. As long as the spurs are well in the ground i.e 2ft for a 6ft fence the spurs are a lot stronger and longer lasting than any wooden post. I wish my jobs were as easy as this.Good luck.
  11. 1 load since 27th december, thank god for the gales (fencing)
  12. But nick, think of all the trees that will need felling & clearing.
  13. Good question, but i dont think your allowed on the m25
  14. get a piece of flexible rubber the width of your mask and make it long enough to lay on your chest when conected to the bottom of the mask, fix it to the mask with rivets or heavy duty glue.
  15. If you can defiently sell it at say £70 per cubic metre as firewood, then go for it. Not the best of firewoods to say the least, but you should make a profit, especially if you can mix it with some decent stuff.
  16. I worked with a bloke years ago who honestly thought that a local vauhall garage sold their cars with private plates "ASTRA" "CAVALIER" "CORSA" I kid you not.
  17. I used to have a stihl fs353av that had an 08s engine on it, later i put a ts350 engine on it . what a beast that was,ive never seen a more powerful strimmer.
  18. We did produce some shocking stuff: allegro, princess, marina,
  19. Give the bloke credit though, he has stated that its a snide twice, many wouldnt.
  20. Ive been after v4rty, when i say ive been after it i mean ive been hoping it comes down in price a lot. at the momment it is up for sale at £29,990. WHY? its not exactly a common name, theres only 5 in my telephone directory and they are family.
  21. I see what you mean by your other thread gollum. absolute classic
  22. Even with it being mixed, your still getting it at a good price, check out the prices at a garage next time you fill up.
  23. :laugh1:I couldnt beat that price even if i lived next door to you
  24. Bearing in mind that you could get a few orders from the customers i would sell only dry seasoned hardwood, ash, beech very dry oak, dont be tempted to mix it with softwoods as they tend to spit.
