  1. I believe it can mess up ones that are auto and maybe ones left/stuck in diff lock. Lr probably would have made them in 2wd if it would break being towed Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. I helped on a few firework demo displays running around lighting them while loads were still going off. Was quite fun. And loud. Now I just find fireworks a bit unexciting. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  3. I'm just building up Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Spud has had a play with some of my saws while I've been away. Will be back tomorrow and then I can sort out getting then back and will make a video Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. I took it off the double cab and stuck it on the single cab then extended it a bit. That's why it had a really high bit and then a low bit. Now it's just a low bit with a little roof return and sides that are much lower. Can't hold as much but doesn't look like a ship!
  6. Look at the tin ethanol fuel bottles used in camping. You can get them in red with fuel written on them. Same as a tin drinks bottle in design so have a ready to clip hole In the top. Get them in a 1ltr size Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. I've created a shoe made out of Lego, so when you step on Lego it doesn't hurt. You just get taller. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Warn 9.5ti with synthetic line or go the whole hog and get the power plant which has a built in compressor Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. You wouldn't have much change out of £15k for a good level picus kit with enough sensors to get good images. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. What if the eventuality is a height restriction on 2m? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. It certainly did the job! Till it fell apart! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Dig through the arb trucks thread and I put a big silly chip box on a crew cab Navara. That should give you an idea Date wise go back 2 years and a bit Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. Brake on when not needing the brake within the next few seconds. Makes me wince when I see it smacked on at full revs. Doesn't sound good at all. I do tell people not to when I see it. It surprises me when people can't learn to feather the throttle ie end of a cross cut near the floor. Go gentle so if you catch the floor you hit one or two cutters and don't cut through the flags. 14. She was stung by the Victoria sponge wasp
  15. 'My friend does trees too' 'I used to climb trees as a kid' In my albeit limited experience. It can depend person to person and also their previous experience in dealing with us tree folk. Whether they were legitimate or not. We can be seen as an eye opener on technical jobs but where it's fairly straight forward people don't realise what goes into it. Even 'simple' (to us) jobs take some thinking ' why can't you just cut it in the middle of the stem, I want more light' yeah ok let me just clip into that skyhook. As much as people have their opinions and experiences on arbs, I let them from their opinion of me and how I work, show them and explain to them that I'm not just a door knocking tree looper. Hence why I have wooden business cards and can explain physiology and why which trees need what. Not because 'it's dangerous and my ladders don't go that high' Everyone apparently knows someone who does trees, but why do they phone us instead? who they have never met or spoken to before?
  16. I will use plugs when strimming/hedge cutting but prefer the muffs when doing tree work as it's only short amounts of time I need the cover for. When spending a day on the strimmer I use muffs and In ear headphones. Good quality headphones will block out some noise and the music keeps me sane! Might try some of those Howard leights. Seem like they do a good job. I use the laser lite foam plugs and have Been pleased with them. Come in seperate packets and are cheap enough. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Wouldn't make a difference because the public would still walk under it anyway! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Speak to wareing they may give you a good indication. We had a 100x50 foot shed built about 40' high and it took about a month I think. Can't remember exactly. Went up very quickly for its size. We had a poured concrete floor and full roof and fully enclosed sides with one section used as a roller door. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. They are brilliant in their own little niche. When compared to the bigger chippers of course they are gonna seem no good. But if I had to drag a big tree down 6 flights of stairs up a ramp and then chip it all then id much rather carry the chipper up the stairs and down the stairs once. Find a narrow access job and I could bring mine up to you. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. They all drive the same side as us over in oz. In the past 4 weeks I've spent here Ives wen countless land cruisers and pretty much every other 4x4 pickup in loads of variations. The l/c look like smart pieces of kit and I would probably have one too! Seen quote a few as campers. I saw a few defenders but probably no more than 20. And about 10 older discos.
  21. I'd check on eBay. Probably your best bet. I've got a wireless on mine and its handy. Pop the isolator switch and you can walk around freely and work it from the cab. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. With them overwintering in the leaf litter I have noticed that trees that do get their old leaves cleared up fair a lot better than ones that are left to their own devices which is what your picture shows. Its like night and day the difference it makes. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. I had to remove some self set buddleia and other small seedlings from the outside of a bridge wall last year. Was an interesting one. Some funny looks from passers by watching me climb over the wall! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. Sell it to me and ill worry about that Maintainance is easy and cheap. Infinitely customisable to make it do what you want/need it for. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. We do get some deep puddles round this way sometimes
