  7. to be honest i really dont think this is an appropriate place to go into that in detail . all i will say is that i bought a ranger that has been alot more grief than i was expecting . full stop ! as for tyhe ms200 £300 looks like a fair price to me
  8. lets not be silly mr morecroft , i cant see how driving skills can come into poor wleding now can i !!!!
  9. trust me you will get more use out of the box the saw comes in than the fecking ranger if mine is anything to go by
  10. in all fairness the ranger has done really well off road and has had a few months of daily work towing a tw190 and loaded to the brim with chip . if im honest the ranger is great but the problems that it came with are not !!!! lesson learnt:thumbdown:
  11. for £250 you should get an ms200t and a ranger tipper:laugh1:
  12. thats twice what its worth mate , i have never had so much grief with a vehicle in all my life . secondly i do not think i will ever buy another vehicle unless its from a dealer or commercial vehicle sales place !!!!!
  13. I trust you are including 4x4's in your statement as opposed to the "british" well what was british muck , sorry i mean landrover AKA rot box:sneaky2:
  14. how come the work has gone quiet ?? i dont suppose you will be wanting to buy a ford ranger tipper then !!
  15. ha ha , tom has more than enough soft wood to be milling at the moment , go on john log the rest up ha ha ha
  16. hi its only an idea but give paul ward a shouty on here , he may well be up for a couple days as i know he was looking for work i think he is called P Ward on here
  17. ha anyone seen the new chainsaw trousers that still have brought out ?? look a bit bloody tight !!! also has anyone noticed that you can now get class 2 highfle type c trousers ?? i guess this is so that you can still use a husky 357xp ha ha ha
  18. Regardless of weather you have the correct certs to put out traffic managing equipment of not you are required to apply to Highway in wrighting at least 14 days prior to the date that you wish to be working on that site taking up road space . as for what you need to use to controle the traffic it may be possible if the road is verry quiet and a clear line of site from one side of the lane closeure to the other then you may well be able to use prioritty boards but to be honest i would contact highways and get some advice freom them mate . i carry out TM works for various firms and to be honest there is much much more to it then meets the eye .
  19. sounds like you could be interested in my timberwolf tw190 , its a little over 7k but well worth it !!
  20. do you have any pic's ?? i would be interested to see them , i recently worked on a vetran elm that had been previously butchered by someone because it had a large pocket of decay just below the bowl of the crown , the tree had been previously reduced by a not so good 35% . we have recently mesured the sound wall thickes with a DD dril and found that the TR ratio is roughly a little lower than 11% and at the point of decay the tree appears to under massive stress from the remaining heavy leaning timber . I will get some pictures of the tree tomorrow or tuesday and post them for you too see
  21. hope this helps
  22. hope this explains what i mean sorry it did not attach the info
  23. last summer i was called in to take down one of the countries orrigional Pinus Radiata , the decision was made to take the tree down because of a v large limb that had failed and a QTRA assessment that was carried out by the county TO , it became apparent that the tree had been suffering form sparissis crispa for the last 17 years that he knew of (this was known by him because when he moved to the job 17 years previously as a welcome gift the staff left the FFB in his bed) the tree was a good 15 meters taller than any tree arround which made it rather vunerable to southeasterly and southwesterly gales that are rather dammaging but still it had not failed .
  24. nope you are most probaby correct !!
