  1. nice stuff, where do you guys cut?
  2. Im with landy man on this one, maybe i should start a thread about private messaging people to get no reply even though they have since been back online?
  3. Hi there, im going to be retaking my trees in the environment exam. I have found it a bit annoying having to wait a whole year to retake but i guess i should have passed in the first place. Advice from my experience last year, look at points per question and answer high marked points and you will definately need the new 5837. I had an a4 weather writer but will prob invest in the next size up. Will see you up at treelife for the prep days
  4. Your right tech cert is no more and the level 4 is the "new tech cert"
  5. Isn't starting this thread attempting research?
  6. Good work on the hang up, did you try and winch it sideways to snap the branch or top of your tree? just a thought, when they get stuck they do get proper stuck
  7. If your losing power also and then failure to restart then it could be the copper washers for the injectors are worn. a diagnostics wont find this either. Mine would be fine then die and not start. basically the exhaust fumes go back into the injector and starve of diesel causing rough running. If not that then i believe crankshaft sensors can get dirty or the gap can give a false magnetic reading on to the fuel pump..... ok i cant quite remember the exact issue there but it was something they considered when solving mine. hope thats of some use and makes at least a little sense
  8. If its a tree condition survey then probably not too big an ask, but if an indepth subsidence type report then it might be a good idea to at least have some form of help in how to go about and write one out professionally. I would suggest passing on to consultants but ask if you could help and see the process so you have an idea for the future?
  9. nice work, all this wet weather makes me wish i had a turning lathe to go and hide in the dry
  10. Why do people get so upset with paint coming off the bar? not had an issue with dawgs coming loose except im missing an exhaust screw from my 357:blushing:
  11. my mate snapped his too ended up replacing the sj, hate to say it but you dont need to take it off to change the cam
  12. Well done i ran a half in similar time and got another one in october hoping to crack that 2hr mark
  13. 15,16,17 september i believe or round about then
  14. i kind of answered my own question when i made a council reference lol, good work though
  15. Nice work, although how come they weren't just pollarded lower down at least until a replanted tree had time to establish.....assuming that im looking at council job?
  16. I dont think there is a single un modified landrover out there, unless it has not been sold yet. Insurance is a joke
  17. Thanks geoff, also be good to mention rory personal best, charlies pb and yourselves ian and anyone else that beat their pb. well done
  18. Well done and welcome to the landy club, i have seen them with just ram conversions but i think you need a sub chassis if thats the right term for the bed to be lowered on to
  19. I treated the best i could my older 90, getting in nooks and crannies were difficult but seeing how good the chassis was where i had done it the year before was worth it but i still did a naff job to be fair. I painted with hammerite then top coat with spray waxoyl. This year my 03 90 is starting to look tired but i will get it properly done by before'n'after, i feel the cost will be worth it and with a 5yr guarantee cant go wrong. has anyone any experience with them?
  20. Andrew is based hampshire berkshire border just outside basingstoke
  21. nice setup billy, love the landy and one of my favourite chippers, how well does it tow?and how quick does it fill up?
  22. I have a 338xpt which is the one after the 335xpt and i personally dont think its that bad. Its 3 and a half years old and done me well starting off as a saturday saw and then being my topper for my freelance stuff. Dispite people taking the piss out of it i like it but freely admit the 200 is better, but watch this space when the 540xpt is finally released.....
  23. Nice vid rupe, this is where i feel my spiderjack really helped me out (think i came first out of the novice on speed climb). Really enjoyed it despite some how losing one of the bells, seems easy on the ground lol
