  1. There is no such thing as an emergency TPO, it either gets a TPO or it doesn't, its also very unlikely to get protected, its a small non descript tree close to a wall and its long term outlook is pretty bleak. the amenity to be worthy of an order just isn't there if it isn't very visible from the public realm no TO in their right mind would protect it.
  2. Evening I am looking to apply for the above course but want to make sure it is the right one for me, does anyone have any experience of the course and the teaching content and online portals. what did you think overall of your experience? I am looking for some industry views before i approach the uni itself. Thanks all
  3. Thanks for the reply but looking for something outside of the normal books
  4. Hi My conifer ID is pretty bad and want to improve on it, can anyone recommend any good courses or have a good ID key outside of the normal books that they can suggest or send me? thanks
  5. Of course i can do that but this site is important as its being used a for a long term wildlife project where climbing has to be done.
  6. I'll look into it but if anyone else knows anymore i would appreciate the info. Thanks
  7. I have my climbing ticket and have been climbing for pleasure rather than work at a woodland local to me. However today they have said that for me to continue to climb there i must now provide public liability insurance. Is this the correct insurance and how much can i expect to pay, i'm not doing chainsaw or any remedial work at all its all just for pleasure but would like an idea of what i can expect to pay or even if this is the correct insurance for what i am doing. Thanks
  8. Apologies for dragging up an old thread but does anyone have an online version of this article as everywhere i have found it want to charge me money for the privilege of reading it. Thanks
  9. Im not able to make the course on the 8,9th October. Does anybody want to take my place? Inbox me if you are interested.
  10. Any targets? If none then think about a gentle reduction rather than removing if possible.
  11. Petrol! works everytime, although there could be some long term health issues with using it just wash it of throughly after use
  12. I was told recently that fresh woodchip placed around the base of a tree actually has the reverse effect from allowing nutrients back into the soil and actually robs nutrients from the soil. Am i right in understanding that it must be left to settle for a few weeks/Months before being used in such a fashion? Many thanks
  13. Does anyone on here Fish?
