  2. 9.5miles today, got a half marathon in 4 weeks and want an under 2hr time but been out on the route and she is hilly
  3. Thats cool, just imagine a little bit of history behind it
  4. I have noticed a large number of oaks with it this year, not just young oaks either. cheers for the link david
  5. Thanks for the reply, thought you had missed my post
  6. Hygiene kit but the ear muffs with the green foam also a hygiene kit for a petzl helmet basically the sweat band i think. Maybe a rope wrench too
  7. Try gristwood and toms as they have their own artic and would know of other hauliers they use too, also have there own biomass setup for grading etc
  8. I kinda like the 625 as it was nice and light but agree on single roller. I also liked the bc150 as it had some good features like auto reverse when the rollers would struggle so instead of you moving it forward and back if that makes sense? but it would sometimes overheat and need the radiator blowing out also not so keen on a button to engage the clutch. Loved the bc1000 if it fits in the hole its gonna get chipped, only flaw i think is on ivy covered horrible stuff could do with additional downward pressure to grip with the feed roller. Finally my favourite all round vermeer is the 935i, no longer made but there is a company that strips them and rebuilds them. 9inch machine, relatively light and will chip sloid wood upto 9inch, powerful and pretty easy to maintain due to the simple design.
  9. I was tempted to measure it a carve the number in but worried about ruining it
  10. Can you add different weights for trees having tougher bark causing more friction? or what does it currently weigh? I have just started using two throwlines to help manipulate them on overthrows or through branches so you would still need to have a throwline or two of the ropeknights? It will be good to see the video or even see one being used to see benefits.
  11. So its my friends birthday coming up and he is into his mechanic stuff so thought would give something a go, it still needs more of a rub down but its not far off. I enjoyed it but need a smaller less powerful saw as a 357 running full chisel made it difficult and caught a few chunks out.
  12. Try engelfield estate near mortimer is probably your neck of the woods? welcome to the forum too
  13. So how do you describe a tonne bag that is empty? should have put a shopping carrier bag of logs as people know what they are getting then but i guess it wouldnt be a shopping carrier bag if it didn't have shopping in it
  14. Spud why ar the 338 so naff at oiling?
  15. i meant allegedly land on the moon (i just reread it and saw what you meant)
  16. Whats the deal with the oiler as its one of the things that does upset me, i find im used to the power so anything extra will be good
  17. Be interesting if you could do a vid of the 338xpt as i have one and quite like it but would be interested on how much different it would be?
  18. Will be good to finally meet you, coming from the sunny states i guess you will be the one all wrapped up in winter gear lol
  19. hey dont go spreading vicious rumors i have not left the green oval yet. I had to double take on protipper facebook page when i saw you like it and a ranger exactly like yours, something to tell geoff? they do look smart though
  20. Excellent and congratulations regarding the nipper, means every other year they get to go to the apf as a "birthday treat"
  21. Just liked your facebook page. I like the diversity of the different vehicles, i would be considering an early d22 model too. Dont suppose you will be at the apf by any chance?
  22. Thanks for the replies, i really like the design of the tipper keeping the original bodywork. I tried the link to your website but its coming up with the arbtalk malware problems so not sure if you should inform steve? What sort of price do they come as fitted or diy?
  23. I have seen rangers and landrovers with tipper conversions and was just wondering if anyone has done a navara? If so wondering what the load capacity is like and how you found it. Cheers ben
