  1. Do I or dont I!!!? Tomorro will be the day when a signature is needed to purchase a new truck, very excited but also just in the back of my mind slightly hesitant! I currently have an iveco daily which is a good truck but for the long term this should be better. I dont regret any past purchases chipper/splitter etc but this certainly is one of the largest and definitely the most expensive! I know there great trucks, and i know the body is the best you can buy but wooooo its a commitment!

    New kit

I remember when i used to hang all my stuff up each night and be precious about it!! Now it gets thrown in my box, only hung up if its stinking wet. Remember cleaning is the mother of all, you get to site and then remember you have been cleaning your kit and its still hanging in the garage!!!!!! lol arrrggggghhhhh!!!! The best piece of kit for you can ever buy.... an air compressor!!!!
  3. Cool, as you say no more milling brash!!! Looks like something out of red dwarf though!!!! Good old camons.
  4. Ive got quite a few big climbs over the next few months booked in, a couple of big beech like this too! This has just got me all excited!!!!!
  5. I have the Riko towable 12 machine and its great. Its out on hire most of the time and splits stacks of wood for me. i cant recommend it enough to be honest.

  7. I have been using goodprint since i began, the quality is good also they send you an email everynow and again a 50% off everything. Bargain!!
  8. Ouch, I just spent the whole morning chipping very dead Norway Maple with mine, it was like dropping a mortar round into the tube!!!! Drop and Duck, Drop and Duck!!!! lol Yep like SWB said, a little crow bar for turning the drum backwards and a socket set!!! Taking the Greenmech stickers off tomorro and pimping my mini with some Theocus livery stickers!!!!!
  9. I had one for my especially for my motorbike, stuck it on the tank with the attachment then speed tested it. It held on well to 120, it now lives on the embankment of the M5!!!!!! I now have a tom tom xl, its seems cheap enough and simple enough.
  10. Doh, wakey wakey!!!!
  11. Give me a call chap, 07730683069
  12. I saw that video also, shame they play the music over it as it would be good to hear the engine/stress control etc! 750 kg isnt really a problem for me but a few of the boys cant tow anything over that. I have tried to push a bc1000xl up a drive before and that was amusing so sometimes light chippers are good!!!!
  13. I saw one of these in the flesh at the Capel Manor show but has anyone used one or even own one? I like the idea of the turntable but cant help thinking it looks a little twee!!!!
  14. Most trailer theives will clamp an A frame over the tow eye to avoid any small locks on the tow eye. It's best to chain through the chassis to the floor then wheel clamp! I also use an alarm padlock on the handbrake to prevent it from being dropped down.

    capel manor.

Good show, nice to meet you all. Jonesie did well in lightening my wallet!!!! Rc dual to play with now!!!!!!
  16. I had a chat with the guy at the FR Jones show last year and the payload of the 3.5 tonner is .5 tonne i think due to the chassis weight. The 5.5 tonner is the one to get but its just mental expensive. Have a look at the SCAM trucks used on the continent, similar thing and probably same price!!!
  17. Treemeup, just tie a bigger knot!!! I swear you use the bowline with yewsemity (cant spell that) tie off anyway!!
  18. Sat in Stringfellows not thinking about trees!!!!!
  19. ahh but that is just camoflague, this is copying other species that have desirable traits and habits. Pheromones can also be replicated etc.
  20. Something from my env science degree, it's a form of malarian mimicry where it Copts the coloration of another species for it's own survival, if you look like a bee you do not get eaten by birds etc!! Flys are a great on for it along with other parasitic wasps. Nature sure is clever
  21. I have just got the first signs of this, now being smart and pulling my self out of work and letting the boys take the strain. Never realised it was so sore!
  22. Rc3002 if you can please? Need a new av spring for my Stihl hedge trimmer!! I will call Monday I think!
  23. Come on John you know you want too!!!!! Treemeup, if you think you can fill Cass's boots then your on!!!! lol
