Stihl are expensive though but that does remind me i ought to send it a ninth birthday card for all the hard work it has done for me over those years!!!! Its out again today trimming and strimming away!!!!! Invest in good kit and you wont have to worry.

how about finding a biomass dealer who will buy it from you. We have someone local to me who stockpiles wood then chips it all and sells it on etc. Just an idea.

Well the Duetz is air cooled but even that is overheating, we took the cover off the assist heat loss but still!!! The tracks are supplied by another engine as the machine is mounted on a yanmar body. The hydraulic tank seems very small for the chipper and get very hot. Im sort of shocked by its performance as i have used a towed one in the past and its awesome. This machine must be having issues we dont know about. I will put an image of it up later.

We even attempted to use it in short bursts to keep the engine temp down but that didnt work, neither did leaving the small blower on half throttle pointing towards the hydraulic tank!!!! Its an amazing machine and can be hired from a welsh company but very frustrating. The chipper is mounted on an old yanmar tracked body.

I have been working with Alister from arbtalk on a big job felling 80 odd poplars. We hired a tracked Vermeer BC1000xl for the week to deal with the brash. The heat has killed this machine with it not working after 12 on most days. There is no hydraulic oil cooling on it and even the Deuzt engine gave up up and shut down. We called the hire company out who tested it in the cool of the morning and got it working but surely a machine of this standard should work. Needless to say we are 2 days behind on this job due to the machine!! Has anyone else noticed either with the vermeer chippers or any others that the heat has got to them. My Timberwolf i think would work in an oven, it just doesnt get fazed!

Tipmaster have an isuzu for 22k all built and ready to go. Brand new with 4k off the turck price due to it being used as a show truck!! Bargain.

I know of another one of these trailers in absolute mint condition in Solihull for sale. It's from ace atv. I think he wanted 800-900 for it. Always worth a try.

A few more pics, i have changed the trailer since these were taken but its such a good little trailer although small for the bigger stuff. the quad is a 450 grizzly irs, with a warn 1.5 tonne winch on the front! It doesnt get stuck anywhere!!!!

Defo not on commission but just saw it as an opportunity as they are over 2k new!! I have just converted mine to hold rings and am currently adding a winch mount!! Has been in continuous use for the last 2 weeks behind my quad. They are a great bit of kit.

Its not a superwinch but i decided to spend a bit more and got the warn m8000 with the radio control. absolutely brilliant tool, very powerful and doesnt stop pulling. We use it for speedlining, directional felling, winching logs out etc. superwinches are cheaper but i use mine everyday and i would get another warn tomorrow. There is even a 1.5 tonne one on my quad!!

this makes me chuckle, If i climb for any reason other than being paid i find i get up the tree and am like , right what now!!!!!! Today i climbed a 115 foot welly, end weighted all the split snow damaged limbs. I then headed for the woods where the other boys were dismantling 5 large beech trees. My missus would go nuts if she found me asleep in one!!!! -
Mine is the 2.8 and pulls like a trooper. Looks cool too!!! Get one.
