  1. Have you tried High line on St Austell?
  2. Axel, i think your chap lives on a boat hence the comment and address: Orinoco, Tewkesbury Marina, Bredon Road, Tewkesbury, GL20 5BY!!!! I will pop over to your stand tomorrow and have a chat. David
  3. Throw line over the biggest supportive branch, run a pulling rope down the back to the base then gently gently ease it over with a good gob and hinge. No climbing needed. Video it so we can all see the destruction!!!
  4. £60 per hour is a good rate.
  5. Hey i emailed your Gloucestershire/Tewkesbury rep for some supply!!! Has his boat sunk in the marina? Nothing back from him from over 2 weeks ago.
  6. Ahh i do you see, 2 cameras at £150 each which i was going to buy anyhow for a hedge trimming job of 40 mins with 2 people. Then a seperate job in the arvo that covered the wages by more than enough is clever thinking to me. The others benefits have also been managed to my advantage too. I truthfully value my time too highly and only on occasion do i do this when the advantage is mine.. Anyway back to the mobile cards, i rang barclays today for a costing. Minimum of a 3 year contract. £150 + vat set up cost £49 + vat admin cost £26.95 + vat per month Then 2.63% cards with a 37p charge. and 3.8% on credit!! I did mention that dick turpin wore a mask when he robbed people!!!! Even the sales women said it was expensive, barclays do not make the mobile terminals and therefore they are governed by third party suppliers.
  7. Hi Nick Zips closed on washing, i am a 33 waste and have had the smalls and a medium, tried with braces and belts, they just go at the bottom. One pair the zip was good but it tore a hole in the material next to it. The trousers and material are great but could really do with a complete redesign. We took one pair to a local seamstress and she said they were not great zips, £10 later and she had stuck an agricultural zip in and to date those havent failed. I do like the trousers but everytime i use them whilst climbing i fill my boxers full of saw dust, it just aint nice!!!
  8. Yep midland does the work there, they took the big wellingtonias down there 2-3 years ago.
  9. Either way, the flys will break!!! 6 pairs now and they have all gone bang!!! Now on oregan fiordlands and they seem good so far. Stretch airs are also very warm.
  10. I have heard about the iphone apps, but would you let someone scan your card on their phone? People are scepticle and possibly reluctant in this phishing, internet scamming world we have. I could be wrong but i think if it doesnt look like a bank terminal with hsbc or barclays written on it the clients might not use it. I will prob stick with cheques, cash and bribes for now, i also like the line, so what does your business do? So far i have all my security cameras for free, my vets bills are zero, the local pub has fed and watered me for the last year free of charge etc etc!!
  11. Just think everyday, the owner has to go get the bucket unless they are the new breed of labrador donkey retriever!!! Good pic.
  12. a Laser pen so strong that reductions can be done from a distance, branches cut from the ground!!! Easy tree work!! A hover tea tray so i can get some tea when in the tree!!!!
  13. Here you go, its this one. A12 V-K/650 SB BASC Riko UK :: Domestic
  14. Ive done the maths and dont think it works out but does anyone use the mobile card machines either for convenience, instant payment or to offer your clients a smoother service for example. My bank charges (barclays) about 75 pence for a paying in slip and 30p for a cheque. So one cheque is £1.05!! Recently the quarterly bill was £80, the hire of the machine is £27 a month then i think 30p per transaction or a percentage for credit cards. As i said i have done the maths and its not as cheap but it does offer an alternative to paying in cheques or waiting for clients to pay!! The down sides would be, losing it, damage in the truck, woodchip and dust!!! I am sure others have looked into it but be interested to see if its been a success.
  15. I've got the riko road towable, 12 tonne machine. It's brilliant, light enough to push about and strong enough to split every thing I have thrown at it. As rob said, chris on here is a riko salesman. Under 5k so you should havecsome change.
  16. Matts Mobile number is 07714896444, They know the arb industry well and have good links with major suppliers so they are good to call if interested.
  17. The Bc200 is an awesome chipper, only a 35hp engine but just demolishes everything. Has the same running gear as the bc1000
  18. Way lower than that at the moment, the rates changed at the banks today and i got a saving of £1800 just from that. They are about 5.9% poss lower now. Matt Potter knows his stuff there so give them a bell on 01604 639 666
  19. All sorted, Managed to great a wicked rate with Bond Investments. If anyone else is financing chippers and kit at the moment these guys are very clued up with arb and offer very low rates.
  20. I've got the small tripod ones with adjustable feet, brilliant little things.
  21. Jonsie, it's a Vermeer bc200, I'm prob going to sell my cs100 soon as never goes out the garage!!! Going to try jcb tomorrow and a few others, got to be some good deals out there.
  22. Looking to finance a new chipper but currently have finance on my timberwolf but the company I am with seems to be a little steep. Anyone got a good company they have gone with in the past ?
  23. The electric ones look good to me, i might just get one and be the only one on arbtalk with it!!!! lol the elbow is okay, its strapped and repairing nicely. Deligation is key to its recovery if you know what i mean!!!
  24. Im looking for a new hedge trimmer and am seriously thinking of the hsa 85 trimmer. Okay it battery powered but why not, lotus make a battery powered car thats quicker than the petrol version. Has anyone used one/got one/borrowed one/sold one because it was pants? I compared the prices against the petrol which was comparable and the weight is better also. I suffer from tennis elbow and it should help. Also less vibration and noise etc etc etc!! all comments would be welcome.
  25. Maybe a euro chipper to go behind the iveco!!!!!
