  1. My Predator 450 is the same. If the engine is off you cannot puch it, Its not a problem to be honest unless of course the engine stops!!!
  2. Yep I always say think like an Egyptian, it's a wicked tool and there are so many applications for it. The winch is radio controlled so I got involved too. We did make sure that every strop/ ramp/ rope and pulley was within capacity before we tried. I don't think we can get much more on it but screwy and squirrel on here do!!!
  3. I told you they would be!!! We shall see next week if we can fell straight on to the back of the trolley!!!!!
  4. No because you dont use spikes for pruning, we all know that. I hope you would of got from the method it would of cause be for a take down of the tree.
  5. We can bring some for you, send me a pm or call 07730683069 to confirm.
  6. We needed to get the butt out of this cherry today in one across the garden and then into the back of the truck to take home for a little project. We reckon it was about 300kg (ish), got the balance on the trolley about right and used the winch off the nissan to drive it up the alley ramps. These ramps are rated to 750kg but they did bend a little!!! The trolley handled it with no probs, it left no marks on the garden although the tyres were a little squashed, maybe a bit more air next time!
  7. Ladders? triple 16's in a conifer would scare the bejesus out of me. Start at the bottom, with a pair of spikes and get to the top taking each branch off. Then knock the top off either on rigging or let it drop! Then chog down to a suitable height and fell!! Bish Bash Bosh! Or go and work for someone and let them show you!
  8. I am definitely going to the manor this year!!!

  9. You joke with the laughing icons but in reality its the truth!!
  10. If its where I'm thinking you were with your tractor, I have been okay for payment from them so I wonder why that's happened.
  11. Are you still making Glen dress up for you on jobs still mart? I always told you it was wrong!!!
  12. Your machine is broken, hopefully you have it under some sort of warranty also. I have put many hours on my machine using it always with the handbrake on and it hasnt broken. also keep an eye out on the throttle and choke cables as these fail and the stoppers at the ends fall off!!!! Getting parts for these things are a night mare too! Good machine but never getting another!
  13. I have a 450 and you should grind with the brake on. It creeps other wise and can cause it to jump up.
  14. ow my back!!!!! Its sore from just watching!!!! Needs a conveyor but the concept is good.
  15. I had a can you just the other day, so I asked did she have cake? The answer was no so I said can you just put one in the oven!! Low and behold she did!! So I pruned a few more branches!!!! It's to be expected some times, recommendations are the best form of business advertising, that extra mile sometimes pays.
  16. Hi I have an Riko a12 road towable that I might part with for the right type of amount!!!
  17. Guys have a good search on this site, there are 2-3 threads on this already.
  18. As Rupe said use a caritool. One handed in and out.
  19. Exactly the same as the seasoned stuff, your time and energy goes into it.
  20. Hama I'm surer there are enough people on here to give you a Good reference!!!!
  21. Eucs are used to loosing all their leaves with fire damage, it might be an idea to leave them for a summer to see about regeneration. If they have died then obviously remove them. Pruning out the dead leaf mass (hard) might encourage new growth from the tree as this is their survival strategy with fire damage. Again this is newish ground here so we shall wait and see.!!
  22. He has a garage, you could sleep next to the wood chipper and keep his saws warm!
  23. Once upon a time the traffic highways people would let you sit in the vehicle should you of broken down or even crashed etc. But due to a few incidences where the unfortunates who once in the vehicles develop neck ache and then serious pain results in a worst case scenario of a potential spinal injury the roof of a few of these vehicles have had to be cut off! I only know this through my wife being a paramedic and one incident like this happened nearby. I guess protocol takes over but of course real world sense... Its madness!
  24. Its getting cheaper! Skipper Retractable Barrier Tape Holder - with 9m Tape » Product
  25. As with Nepia i am in agreement it is a good product, i also have the dual which is fantastic and have chatted to Reg at many shows about either product and again no one forced me to buy them. The play in the handle will possibly not amount to much in the environment it will be used ie being pulled by hand. Mild steel will have minimal wear over time and possible the end tube may flute slightly, this is really just providing some feedback on the design and the intended use. I already have 3 jobs where it will save time and effort for me. As Reg has mentioned the original design would of been a two piece but now designed for the packaging of the product it has more linkages. Surely though the Mk2 (one day) might take some of the slack out of the handle as it just feels like too much play. Maybe a vertical pin would solve this dilemma.
