  1. His rates are high and he goes by the name of T.C!!!
  2. Just a little bit of lowering from us.
  3. hi all, here is the number for the logs on ebay! 220742704439
  4. My father has a stump that needs grinding and really the only machine that will do it will be an Alpine Magnum. Does anyone want to go and give him a quote to do this? I will give stump busters a call if not but i thought i would offer it out on here first. David
  5. Ive just put my log pile of leylandii on Ebay!!! 99p start off, just goes to show you sell rubbish!!!! lol
  6. get a app on an iphone called road trip, put on the data and get depressed!!!! lol
  7. £20 a cube is better than nowt! Work out your trailer capacity then sell as required. Or flog it in bulk to either boomeco or ahs etc!
  8. Hind sight doesnt save anyone so get it before something could happen! Thats how i think. Worth every penny.
  9. Definetly get an arbaid kit, we have one, it has everything in it for almost every possibility. Regardless of price i do not regret buying it, its one thing you should get the best of shortly followed by PPE! We used ours in anger the other day as i cut my hand and it was great although now a little bloody! It might cost a bit more than normal but i would defo kick myself should one of my guys hurt themselves badly and all i had was a box of blue plasters. The box is bright yellow, indestructible and well put together inside. Arborist Trauma First Aid & Safety Equipment Kit by Arbaid
  10. As Rupe said Boomeco are good they take all of my stuff. Talk to Dikon Taylor there.
  11. I have a couple of the cameras from this site. The chap who sell them is one of my clients, i might be able to sort an arbtalk special if enough people want. He seemed keen the last time. The padlocks are great, they scream if touched, i wire all my saws together then lock them up with the lock. Security Cameras & Theft Deterrents > Secure Sight
  12. The ms200 groundsaw, choice of champions!!! good vid, no offence felt here!!!
  13. Thats awesome, i am going to buy some as an experiment and see what happens to the team!!!!! Just be cakes and hovis everywhere|!!!!
  14. Can we not just live feed the webcam to Arbtalk and we can keep an eye on it for you!!!!! will be bloody boring, but you never know! lol Arbwatch!!!!!
  15. Bandits are awesome, and i looked at them a lot when buying a new chipper, the pile of chip and the deadwood issue put me off. I ended up with the Vermeer BC200 which is a great machine. Its worth a look and again bomb proof in construction.
  16. As for after care Vermeer have been very good, my Bc200 had a few teething problems, i had a replacement chipper within hours and mine was fixed very quickly. Vermeer are built like tanks and are very robust and completely over engineered for the job. Good machines, had a couple of green ones which made me buy an Orange one which made me buy a Yellow one!!! I like yellow, my truck is yellow!!! lol
  17. But thanks for all the advice Jonesie!!! lol Well i bought two off you today so that should make up for the missed sale!!!!
  18. Right, i had one of these out on demo for a conifer job and to be honest i wasnt that impressed. They are under the 750 weight but the turntable is heavy so therefore they put a smaller 25hp engine them. This means its very underpowered and to be honest they have got it wrong. I even video'd our experience of this chipper for here so people can make up their own minds. I ended up with the bc200 which is a beast of a machine but weighs 1.4 tonnes!!!! Anyway this is the video, as i said it was a conifer job which is bread and butter work. My TW150 DBH at the time would eat it alive. the turntable was ahndy though but at a sacrifice. 19. The belts that are used are i think either single or double ply V belts, mine stretched very quickly so replaced them with triple xtype ones and its been really good. also the idler wheel cant be adjusted to the maximum as it hits the inside of the casing!!! My 18hp does struggle sometimes so i can only guess what the 14hp must be like!!! Its one of those machines, if the blades are not really really sharp the performance drops a huge amount. As it was a demo machine and like Mr Destroyer does, it has prob had some abuse and not been sharpened for a while.
  20. Is it just a tractor or does it come with forestry attachments? I have a woodlaand thin to do near Tewkesbury. PM your rates if you may. I work with bald people already so fear not!!!!!
  21. Not really, you just either lean it on its back and get in a clear it!!! or take the side case off and rotate the drum backwards to clear the blockage. I always let it clear itself before turning it off. They are a good little machine,
  22. Sorry about the false hope SWB, it turned out that its really a useful bit of kit to have and typically i have a few jobs lined up for it. It goes out very rarely but when it does its a great little chipper. My groundsmen hate it with vengeance but it always brings a smile to my face! If it ever get to that point again to sell it then i will give you first refusal. As for hiring it out, it can go out to tree surgery minded machine sympathetic types but as for jo public, NO WAY!! If you need it Rupe give me a bell.
  23. Chris, the D22 is okay once the bottom end bolts are changed, Mines in this weekend for an upgrade on the parts. As for mpg, mine does an average of 28mpg towing daily and full of kit and also with mud terrains on which incidentally only take 1 mpg off the average. I love iphone apps!!! Great trucks to own just nissan royally cocked up the engines initially.
  24. Ive got the warn remote for my m8000, it fits, it works and its never failed. Best to buy one thats compatible with the make. does make life easier, have even used it in the tree once!!!! Didnt trust the groundie with a 4 tonne winch and a back leaning stem!!!!
  25. I have had 6 pairs of stretch airs and the zips and gone pop on all of them, great trousers but weak zips. I now have the Oregon Fordland ones which are very comfortable but again the zips on the back of the legs bust within a week and the main fly zip creeps down constantly which great when talking to clients! Braces and belts have all been tried!
