  1. Just a thought and excuse my lack of mechanical knowledge. The kubota V1505 engine which we find in most 35hp chippers is the non turbo version of that series. Can a turbo be fitted to the V1505 as an after market part. I am aware they do the V1505-T but what other mods need to be done.
  2. We took down a walnut today, i did not have to sned one branch with the vermeer Bc 200, it demolished everthing we put into it. Its funny that so many many mention greenmech, timberwolf etc but rarely consider Vermeer, is there a reason for this? Great machines and there is also bandit too.
  3. Just some info for those searching. I rang Greenmech to find out how to sharpen the blades on the cs100. Top angle is 27 degrees and the bottom angle is 15 degrees. Sharpen mainly on the bottom!!!

  6. Kick back, i was was watching a guy at the APF boring into a log with it and it wasnt having much of it!!!! But then normal chains kick like a beast in that situation too!
  7. Ive just bought a new vermeer BC200, cracking machine. Had a TW 150 before which was great but a completely different league.
  8. My client didnt pay me to look after the doormice on site!!!!
  9. 32 kph ag registered, yikes, i nail mine everywhere!!!!
  10. Boxer skidsteer with a flail! This is some we did last year.
  11. It's roughly 8 weeks for them to return your results. It's either yes or no, frustratingly no feed back.
  12. I've got one. Good machine, multitip is great but teeth are about £8.50 each. The machine has loads of grunt, but I found out it's identical to the Greenmech one but 2k more. Both made in the same factory, the parts are a pain to get also!!! Apart from that awesome!! Wanna buy mine!!! Lol
  13. I have a grizzly 450, its got headlights and a brake light as standard. I registered it as agri and got tax and insurance!! easy.
  14. I asked the timberwolf chaps on here why they didnt seal it so it stops the water from getting in etc etc and a slightly sarky reply stated the large funnel at the back end lets the rain get in!!! I find winding the jockey wheel as high as it goes stops the problem.
  15. I will be there, just the one exam!!
  16. Mines shocking to drive but great at crown lifts and high hedges. Why would anyone want one as their main vehicle beats me!
  17. Does anyone have one in the gloucesershire area as i have a client who needs some planking done. Its too good to be done with an alaskan mill, so i am passing it on to others.
  18. I have just got rid of my 150 dbh, it was a great machine and a bargain when i bought it. It was sold with 480 hrs on it and i had not needed to replace the bearings, the fins were starting to wear a little and the shear plate needed adjusting. The engine was solid and always worked. The brakes needed replacing twice due to cable seizures and overheating. I now have a vermeer bc200xl and that is a great machine but a little heavy in comparison.
  19. I used an oportunity like yours to start my business up, 2.5 years later, stacks of kit, working with two of my mates and more work than days. Couldnt be better, never looked back. Oh and facebook and forums...... shhhhhhhh!!!!!
