  1. Just a few images from the other day, if you dont get off the machine with a smile on your face, you are not human!!!
  2. I think they retail from 14k upwards for the 322dx boxer. The man to speak to is Cliff Perks about the boxer as he works along/with greenmech and really knows his stuff.
  3. The grinders looked a little small although there are many after market ones available. The grapple fork looks the dog bollocks though.
  4. I had a 322dx boxer all of last week for a big development site i was on. The place was on a silly bank and we had to fell 26 trees. 4 of which were 60 foot (topped) poplars that the 880 went through just with a 36 inch bar. The Boxer lifted the rings up with no problems and flew up and down the bank all day. The conifers we felled were really easy with it, literally sned it, then grab and push loads into the bucket grab and away you go. I kept 2 blokes going flat out on my chipper all day!! Its a serious investment but i reckon they are worth their weight as long as you can justify them. Josharb, i had to buy another 880 as i missed mine after selling it to you!!!!
  5. I am in the same boat as you chap, just about to buy one. Have used one solidly for a week and its been amazing. What are you going for?
  6. Just for those who struggle with the design/IT side of business, since i started my business i have designed and illustrated all of my own advertising from business cards through to leaflets/posters etc to which all have been very successful. I have recently designed some cards and leaflets for other businesses in the area and have a few more to do. In True Arbtalk spirit if anyone doesnt want to pay stupid money for a designer to make them some cards, posters, leaflet or a business design then PM with your ideas and i will see what i can come up with for you. Cheers David
  7. The Treelife guys are awesome, Andy is a legend and they know there stuff. It maybe pricey but the knowledge they carry is worth every penny. Woody2, cheers for the CD! Very good
  8. I bought a cheap winch for £60, it was crud beyond belief. I now have a Warn 4 tonne radio controlled winch on my navara. The best investment ever. I have used it 4 times this week, once to winch over an 80 foot poplar with a severe back lean. If your out to make money buy the best you can afford.
  9. Right sold, Jonesie!!!!!
  10. Has nobody spotted his own thread call "My split personality" where he has posted 9999 posts to himself? No wonder he has done so well!!!!!
  11. I have seen someone from a previous company standing with both his feet on the hopper kicking thorn into a 6 inch chipper. He had a ticket for it, oh then a bollocking! People will take short cuts and short cuts take people!
  12. Just been told by the missus that if she sees a shopping list titled APF/Arbfair she will tear it up!!!!!! better hide that one in the truck!
  13. Mr Woody 2, i may have a few online instructional manuals gained from somewhere or nowhere that may assist you with your tech cert!!!! send me a message and i will send them across.
  14. I have 4 or 5 mm sheets, i fire chip straight in to the back and hurl logs into mine and it doesnt seem to dent it all. I have used like this for a year or so now. Lining it with thinner board might be an idea, but i tried to save weight as the rest is mild steel!!!!!!!
  15. I will come and do it, need to see a friend over that way. So would be good. 07730683069
  16. I have just alloy sides on mine and that its!!! no need to line it really
  17. Okay i meant that per tonne you get 1.5 cubic meters which i even know is wrong! seasoned i am guessing 250-300kgs per bag hence why we can just about shift them on the ground. Buying in wet wood is an unavoidable occupation i feel, but if someone does have the means to weigh a good bag of wood then it would make for interesting calculations. I sometimes worry i have a little too much time on my hands!!!!
  18. Have you got the rc dual in stock?

  19. If you heap the load or like i do and go above the back height you can compensate for the arches which take up minimal room any way. Its near enough the volume filled that you require. And yes obviously there are gaps which do not make it a solid cube but everyone knows that.
  20. With out a weight bridge i have been trying to work out roughly the weight of 1 cubic metre of seasoned logs in a bag. If i order say (for easy maths) 10 tonnes the expected bags to be filled would be 15 based on 1.5 per tonne? For some reason i always thought you would get more bags per tonne of wood. So is 1.5 the train of thought here or as Shrek mentioned in another thread he would get a return of £240 per tonne of wood. Say he is selling ast £80 a bag then that would be 3 c/m!! hmmmm i need a weigh bridge!!!! Has anyone actually weighed a bag of say seasoned logs?
  21. Try midland forestry in bristol, speak to Steve wingrove or Pete Davis. Not sure if they are employing but worth a try.
  22. I can confirm a level load in a navara double cab is a cube. I measured mine as often there is only enough room for my truck on some peoples driveway.
  23. Last week we had my navara with my 10/5 tipping ifor half full with chip with a boxer skid steer on the back winching up a similar gradient!!! We also had the iveco daily tied to the trailer which was half full of chip towing the chipper!!!! Snow and ice are a pain but the winch is mighty!!!!
  24. Give midland forestry a call, the chap you need to speak to is Steve Wingrove. They are working on the council contract down there and poss be able to help. Just google the name and it will come up
