  1. If you have top lift on a heizo it's not to bad as you can gather up a bundle of smaller stuff and drop it on the bottom conveyer, close your grab and crush it down and let it pull it in to the open rotor then drop top roller to pull it all in or vary small stuff with larger to pull it through, really depends on your skill and dexterity with the crane as to how effective you can be with the machine. Ugly thorn not a problem Conifer go's the same way really.
  2. Unfortunately no front pto on this tractor, it would be just to get it to site if I needed a trailer as well, carry the winch on the front most of the time but at less than 500kg isn't even noticed
  3. The chipper is about 2t and apparently valtra is rated at being able to carry 3.5t on front , did wounder about being able to carry it to site on front and tow either bulk trailer or forwarder behind, junctions could be a bit interesting ? Might have a word with dealer to see if that rating is only when carrying more direct on the rear arms.
  4. Do you think this looks a little wrong [emoji848] Quickly done video of our quick swap system on the botex for swapping grabs, the shear takes a little longer as have swap pipe fittings as well.
  5. That is nice, wish I had the money available as that would do me nicely, bet in 6 - 8 months when I hopefully have some funds again these spec machines will be like rocking horse poop again.
  6. Wrist bands now and proper checks, like a mini festival with security on the gate - no ticket no getting in now eggs
  7. We stopped at quite a nice little camp site about 4 miles down road last year which had log burner fueled showers and was quite plesent place and quiet as had 9yearold daughter with me so thought main camping site might be a bit much for her. I'll try see if I can find name as really can't remember what it was called.
  8. Biggest single stump tackled with the zt yesterday 35 min to last picture then another skim over so the corner could be re turfed Really need to sort out a liner for the botex so I can load this much grindings with getting shoulder burn
  9. Practice on the trees that don't really need it then the ones that do will be so much easier, looks very good.
  10. Not often we have it bad enough not too see road signs, kerbs can often be fun to bounce off, I was out in the sticks where seeing grass and mud go flying is often a clue, chasing the snow blower today high into the dales. Almost needed my passport as had to leave Yorkshire to turn round
  11. Very nice, should make dismantling a breeze
  12. Sat in a wagon pushing snow again today
  13. Have you still got the guarding and how much do you want for it jonny, pm me if you want as it's a bloke I work with occasionally who has a 8150 that is very interested in it.
  14. I like the look of the light, very well protected as well, might have to look at something similar for nighttime call outs
  15. Dense moment but SMAS is what exactly, I'm aware of chas and been thinking of getting through it for a while but if this is more likely to be excepted then might be worth a closer look
  16. We have the 5t farmi winch which I've converted to be hydraulic for the front of my valtra, worth looking at the smaller ones as if the quality is the same as the bigger ones it'll be a fantastic buy as well priced.
  17. Looks a nice machine J Is it hydrostatic drive as couldn't see a prop shafts in the joint. If so should be better than the alstor I used a few years ago that just chewed up uj's in there. All the best with the move and I hope it works well for you.
  18. When your apprentice wasn't born when you started tree work. When you start doing 2nd thinnings on trees you planted
  19. I wounder if it could be modified to fit my T131 without too much cutting and welding as been thinking I could do with a bit more protection around the nose and cab, I do know someone who has same tractor so will ask him if he's interested for you.
  20. That's the one Mike, brilliant splitter Filling that bucket every 15min with 2 of us, done around 30 ton in 2 days so not bad going ]
  21. Loved my quad chip and apart from a cracked anvil had no problem with it in 500hrs, only sold it as needed faster and bigger capacity to cope with the kind of work we do. Would definitely get another when we get a lighter machine for smaller pruning jobs.
  22. You'd be surprised how much you can pile on the thick centre beem of this trailer if your careful, just avoid speed bumps! [emoji848] Better than loading 6m3 into ifor with a shovel any day!
  23. Interesting drive this morning with full firewood set up hung on the valtra And thankfully the snow went last night so was able to get the clam shell on and a couple of trailer loads of mulch loaded and out to a customer
  24. So legally probably the same or more than a twin cab transit.......
  25. No stopping you now with the photos [emoji12]
