  1. Thanks, simple is good. The jak is very similar to the nisula I have already priced up so will be taking to wilsons shortly about this as hadn't actually realised they sold them even though I'd said to Simon I was thinking of fitting one to the botex.
  2. Sorry to derail slightly but do you have any recommendations or avoidance list for swinging tilting shear grabs as thinking of getting one for the forwarding trailer to clear roadside and trackside regen without having men on the road cutting and chipping.
  3. Our female apprentice tryed the lady's version and didn't like the feel at all, although not an experienced climber she has tryed quite a few harnesses at collage and just didn't gell with it and ended up getting a petzl. I quite like the look of the big leg pads as I climb in a new tribe harness that has these and find them very comfortable.
  4. Do you mean the little deflection pipe on the exit pipe to send fumes away from you if your operating from that side? Got one of them... [emoji6] Or is this something new I haven’t spotted yet [emoji848]
  5. A little more of the logs being cut would have been nice but looks a very good operation you have going.
  6. Don't know what that means but ok thanks
  7. I hope that isn't felling as well or really isn't worth it as no way can a 2 man team fell, sned, winch, crosscut then forward a wagon load a day with compact machines at that rate I'd need to be hitting 2 wagon load a day to start making it worth while. What gdh says sounds more realistic.
  8. Anybody done a full bed length toolbox as been considering this when I rebuild my grafter body so it runs down 1 side half hight for long items like pole saws can be kept out of the way.
  9. That grapple saw looks like it will be a big help making some of the dodgy cuts for you.
  10. Having trouble uploading pictures at moment saying files to big even when I've tryed knocking my camara onto its lowest resolution settings it won't go then randomly it'll allow one on, any ideas?
  11. If our was out with her I wouldn't be wasting a second of her company on here, enjoy bud.
  12. Give a good lump to tax man 1st probably then pay off a good chunk of my mortgage or try and buy my yard.
  13. Crap mask and you spend half your time burning holes in your gloves and in my case through glove finger to bone all because I couldn't see what I was doing properly with a cheap crappy mask.
  14. I'll be quite honest and tell anyone the problems we have had and the reason it's now basically a new machine with all the upgraded parts fitted rather than the substandard machine we were 1st sold, if I hadn't needed a bigger higher volume machine I'd still be happily running it. None of the problems were individually a major thing and apart from 1 never stopped us working it was the way it was dealt with by persons I believe are no longer with the company that really got me going.
  15. Our brakes have a substantial box around them as protection so sure you could fabricate something like it on yours
  16. Yip, had a vermeer with a single and timber it was brilliant but conifer or thorn it just chewed at and annoyed me. Not fancy a lovely vertually as new st8 at a big discount off new to really deal with some stuff as my one is still for sale [emoji56] can't blame a bloke for trying
  17. Don't have green valtra that was borrowed of a friend a 8150 and that also handles it fine as a heavy tractor with lots a bottom end grunt.
  18. It's 150 hp but boosts to 160 something in top gears for road work, handles it no problem and feels very stable unlike when we had it on the massy. Never managed to had more than 9.5 ton on it over the scales which is nice to know your not overloading the rated capacity if these 11 ton units. It's a long rig so thinning extraction can be a bit fun but pick your way carefully and it's manageable. Bonus is it can easily carry 2 bays of 2.5m so like last year when I was extracting from a mixed woodland I could get softwood chip on the front and Hardwood firewood on the back so avoiding going over the same ground twice. Nothing like these botex for big Hardwood as the pins lift out from the edges so you can get bigger stuff than you can deadlift onto the bed and plop the pins back in easily.
  19. Vertually the same but a 570tl crane to give me a little more reach, electro hydraulic controls so we don't have to lift a heavy valve block while doing a balancing act on the link arms and a little modification so we can drop the timber grab and fit a clam shell grab for loading chip and grindings.
  20. Yours for 7.5k but only till next week as new trailer comes and if it's not sold by then it go's back to wilsons in part exchange as ain't farting around for months with tire kickers.
  21. Don't fancy buying my botex off me with brakes already fitted [emoji6]
  22. Ah got you, hadn't read the other thread. I do think quality of work slips within these large companies and they price with the view they can only turn a profit on extras charged at an extortionate rate and if this does not happen then they are fooked. Just look at fountains, till hill where have they gone now even balfors at one time they were so many of them it was easier to spot than Eddie stobarts but round here it's only now amey vans everywhere so who knows.
  23. Metaphorical wild fire or are they setting fire to other companies, care to explain
  24. That's about the most sensible concise reason for a purchase decision I've read on here for a long time, keep us informed how you find it compared to the 130 with the extra hp and I hope it helps speed things up a bit for you and no little scrotes get to this one. [emoji106]
