  1. Don't know about the chipper much as actually didn't know they did it till I looked at your post but I've used the 150s and cracking machines, as for the engine it's the same as on our grinder which is quite a grunty little thing and picks up speed very well so what you may loose it torque you will gain in speed of rpm recovery, not convinced of fuel economy as last week on 7hrs of grinding I used nearly 40ltrs of fuel so I'd definitely be stacking up brash and having a mad chip up rather than leaving it running and feeding as you cut. Any particular reason you wet for the petrol version?
  2. Charging for it will be a fine balance between it being worth it for yourself and for the contractor not to think they will deal with it the normal way because in most cases someone taking on bigger jobs is also going to have the resources to shift the arisings themselves although actual disposal can be the decider. To some smaller businesses the decider might be being able to drop a Roro in there yard to fill over a few weeks of small jobs instead of going off to multiple tip sites then back to yard its a simple rtb and empty each night.
  3. Built like a tank but only single feed roller so won't pull in as well as a twin but will outlast most others if it's built like the larger machines
  4. Little modification to the chipper recently making some much stronger mudguard that stop road dirt spraying up the insides and can be lent on a lot better.
  5. Think it should be a warranty recall as we were miss sold a product with false information about future changes [emoji848] [emoji12] Saying that I have added highlights to my machine with the lift ram, safety bar and guard around the levers now being orange.
  6. That's a orange zt A zt in orange Orange paint on a zt You said it wasn't possible Ahhhhhh [emoji24]
  7. But it's under 750kg, runs on red diesel and can fit through a 38"gate it fits every arb lore box [emoji12]
  8. Really mini loader for sale on eBay at moment https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152790327137
  9. Changed his user name to something rediculous like Steven Blair I think [emoji848]
  10. Pat was a really nice bloke and offered support off forum when we were having a bad patch with my boys health. Dean could offer some good stuff. Hodge went and found his input good. Rupe went for a while but spotted his name up again a few times, now that's a stranger avatar. Johny walker, Andy Collins, delabodge and even the once star of the show silky fox are all very quiet these days
  11. Split my ring finger along its length in a old single lever splitter when a lot turned and pulled my finger against the blade which just sliced through it, now I have hardly any feeling in it apart from when it's cold it hurts and a bit of plastic in the end as the bone was shattered, also got a bad infection in it and they thought the blood flow was lost so was booked in to have it amputated but luckily a nurse decided it have a poke at it and found under the dead skin layer it was actually healing not to bad so she saved my finger and got a nice bunch of flowers off me. Dplitters should only ever be operated by 1 person no matter how they are configured, heard the same story as the op so many times. Hope the lad recovers OK and managed to keep working and his career going nd gets a bit of compo from the operator to see him through.
  12. No never has, you just stand and work the stop bar but to be fair even a 6" full tree didn't slow it down on either tractor. Not used anymore as we have a 10" farmi so don't know what to do with it as gearbox is worth as much as rest of machine.
  13. Tempted to order a few of the ones darrin posted in the op as that steel insert should make them last considerably longer without being heavy all steel.
  14. Don't use revolvers because it's a nylon bush inside which will melt if you run it at excessive speed down the rope and just become an expensive wire gate.
  15. Took a old knackered tow behind quick chip and turned it into a handy little pto machine which was fine on our old 90hp tractor but the 150hp valtra is definitely overkill on it.
  16. Was a bit tongue in cheek definitely but when I did a bit of competing with landy the definition of stuck and so penalty points was you couldn't get yourself or team out. Our mog didn't have a winch unfortunately and was normally really stuck when the chipper effectively became a anchor digging in the ground even at full lift.
  17. Seems to have still worked, if she had a paler colour on might not have captured it as well but the red will always feel bright against a dull background. You have a real talent for capturing these images and I'm very jealous of you having such a fantastic place to use as a studio so close.
  18. My claim is I've never yet got any of my landy stuck, forward progression has been delayed sometimes for a considerable amount of time but never stuck to the point I've needed to call anyone else in to recover me apart from my own vehicles. When I used to use a mog that was a different matter nd needed to call in some heavy duty assistants a few times because they are either travelling or proper stuck!
  19. My company colours are orange polo shirts and sweatshirt so make everyone stand out anyway but have long sleeve hi viz shirts for site works or roadside and jackets to match. For what it realistically costs to dress everyone it looks professional and is in my opinion safer because it won't matter how safe your normal system of work is human nature dictate as some point someone will be distracted and in the wrong place at the wrong time and if they blend into the background are more likely to be unseen so hurt.
  20. Thankfully had some log deliveries to do this afternoon as felt it starting to set in this morning and my irritability levels starting to rise. I don't do well stuck at home and the Mrs has incredible skill of being able to mess around and not get ready on a morning so it's nearly always lunchtime before we can get to go out by which point the best bit of the day is gone.
