  1. If it's a private job with a lot of jobbies and they don't clean up they bye bye. Commercial is usually different i.e.it's not worth losing a contract over so get the shovel out making sure you remove the turf as well as the turd.
  2. I suppose it shows the simplicity of our job and the reason why everyone thinks they can be a tree cutter. Plus if there is something we need in this industry it's more tree cutters:thumbup1: It won't be long before they do this in the UK.
  3. Listen to Mark, if anyone knows how to stop swearing on a forum it's him. Use to keep the moderators on their toes!
  4. I think it's really immoral of them when they increase prices drastically , change the odds our bring out a new game etc. They know a lot of people use the same numbers every week so they are trapped and 'have' to pay. I'm glad I have only ever used lucky dips.
  5. Plus it makes employing someone less desirable, no doubt there will be more people working on zero hour contracts, having to go self employed or working for an agency etc No good for employers or employees imo. Best thing to do is have your own private pension or just spend your money have fun and hope you die before your broke!
  6. As Kevin says I would question that they haven't made a mistake somewhere on the spec.it sounds like reducing to 6.1m wouldn't leave much, if any crown spread. You just might stop a bit of a cock up.

    Tree Pruning

This deserves an award for the most useless spam thread ever! Well done.
  8. Does anyone know if it's only in our industry that certs aren't a legal requirement in regards to other industries like ropes access, etc?
  9. Have you checked the sprocket at the end of the bar isn't knackered?
  10. True although there are plenty of bodies who do look after the non pro and do enforce laws, ie seat belts, crash helmets etc.Although when it comes to diy, anything goes.
  11. It's pointless and your Pissing against the wind. Mr homeowner has a plethora of gadgets he can kill or maim himself with, a chainsaw is probably quite low on that list, ladders being nearest the top. Mr hse has neither the time or resources to try and enforce such a law, hence why there is a huge gap in hse recommendations for professionals v homeowners.
  12. I think he was getting his dad to do that.
  13. Why would anyone want some used PPE? Unless it looked in perfect condition and you knew and trusted the user I wouldnt bother buying second hand. In regards to OP, skyhuck has answered the question:thumbup1:
  14. The system tries to look after dependents, unfortunately there are plenty who will abuse the system. Its the people who abuse the system that need culling, there are far more that really need help but dont get it.
  15. Have you bought a new sette? Or was that taken at a friends house?
  16. No thanks, carry on.
  17. That's quite brilliant. Although can you change your avatar please as that's not what i want to see at bedtime.
  18. Interesting thread and comments:thumbup1: Although ime it isnt that bad being a freelance climber, i would prefer it over being an employee but not over being an employer. Like every job in life it depends on who you clients are.
  19. No problem I give £100 to a charity of your choice and you do what? I was going to send you a 4k 60" 3d panasonic so £100 sounds good to me:001_smile:
  20. Ive seen that on larch plantations, something to do with wrong species in the wrong location.
  21. Thats the last thing I want, no offence. I only ask that you dont post countless threads on AT as I do think it has a negative impact on the forum.
  22. So if I give £100 to a charity you wont post on here again? Deal. I will send it to S Bullman, he can dish it out:thumbup1:
  23. Give me your address I will send you a telly.
  24. Please can you tone it down with the amount of threads you post? Imagine if a few more members decided to start a thread about every desicion they came across, the forum would be dead within 5 minutes. You have started 75% of the threads in the lounge, with 22K members thats some doing. Why not just have one thread running with your daily posts like Silky does.
  25. FFS, do you really need to ask that question? Live life on the edge, make a decision for yourself or visit your local gas supplier.
