Personally I wouldn't go chopping bitsfoff your main line to make a lanyard when you could just buy a length of rope for a few quid, false economy. It's easy enough to chop a brand new rope even when you don't plan to! done it myself too many times

Not sure but if you are a bona fide business then you have to pay an awful lot for your water. Obviously as a business owner I earn loads of money so its only fair I pay more than the average consumer:thumbup1:

Really sorry to hear of the theft, utter scum. Ime you've got to follow the old saying of don't let the bastards grind you down, don't let them have another one over you. Do what you can to pick yourself up and carry on. It's not worth throwing the towel in. I hope you can sort something out quickly to carry on earning.

Well obviously from your point of view hence the thread. In reality it is exactly the same its just your trying to justify it. You committed a crime and got nicked, you are then saying its not fair because someone else did the same crime and didnt get nicked. Why is that not essentially the same? FWIW, even the hardest criminal can justify or explain their actions, its not human nature to say we are in the wrong. Yes its certainly not the worst crime in the world parking on a single yellow but it can be a pita for other people. So best just to pay the fine, stop whining and move on, im sure no one literally died that day due to your actions . At least the fine is going to a good cause.

I remember they did hedgehog flavour crisps, what happened to those? Maybe if there was more of a demand for hedgehog crisps they would start battery farming them so increasing the numbers. Although I dont think hedgehogs lay eggs so maybe the battery farming might not work.

Yes why worry? Think about it, you are complaining that someone else committed a crime but they didnt get prosecuted so why should you? I bet you would get really pissed if I complained that i was getting nicked for stealing logs from your yard because someone else was doing the same at the same time but got away with it. Anyway, not to worry, I will file it in the same place as the bus thread.

There are loads of reasons why. Maybe after slapping a ticket on your window the traffic attendant was.... killed by a heart attack, ran over by a bus. abducted by aliens. lured by a lady of the night. clocked off maybe they gave you 10 mins grace then put a ticket on, the other cars had only just parked up. you were the only illegal parked at the time, they ticketed you then moved to another area. They are an at member. Ie it doesnt matter, you were causing an obstruction and got fined, pay up and stop complaining.

By parking in a restricted area you will either be Congesting traffic endangering public safety Restricting operations ie business or emergency services. Most people justify it by saying to themselves, I am only going to be here for 5 minutes, the person that parks right after you says the same thing, the person after them etc etc, total restriction all day by 50 different people. Come on Jon, where are the pictures of the cars who parked up at the same time as you but didnt get a ticket??? You cant speed, get a ticket then complain.

Very well said. I would like to see this as a quote sticky thing but it wont be. It is probably the biggest downfall of social media. Hopefully true experience passed on wont be a thing of the past.

I dont really know how to answer that tbh as if you dont see my point..... So its OK to completely waste someones time is it? Hate it when that happens to me on a tree job.
