  1. How about, do you work for the company selling the oil? Firstly your efforts did nothing as they still sell it and secondly 50% of your 4 posts have been to bump this thread.
  2. The first two are not what you want, they are for putting screws into wood. Buy the 240v unless you want to spend 5 times that on a battery version. Unless you have an air line then you have more choice.
  3. if I had to choose one song it would be Jay z and Alicia Keys empire state of mind. It's usually when I'm trying to sleep that a tune goes around and around.......
  4. Some weird advice from stefan for sure! Wish you all the best Nick, sorry I can't help any further.

    Ploggs .

    Yes it certainly should.

    Ploggs .

I couldnt agree more. If you didnt like Jons humor then it was all negative unfortunately. I still dont understand why no one has sorted a facebook out for him, it would keep him and all his mates happy.
  7. Ok but I would be happy with 14k left after everything had been paid on an 80k turnover. That is profit and not my wages btw, which is where the confusion comes in I think.
  8. I would say 15% profit or over is extremely good unless you are a multi million pound company so youre doing better than probably every other arb company I know.
  9. I can never understand the logic of trying to force their way though, although there are a lot more mentally challenged people out there than we realise. Anyone pushing a pram through an obvious hazard is one of them.
  10. Hey I was about to:thumbup1: Pete's post too. Blocked off loads of foot paths in the past but always have had someone there to either help pedestrians or stop works to let them through. Although plenty of people could just cross the road and save everyone a bit of grief.
  11. I don't like the idea of rep points as some users would have loads and I don't think it makes their advice any better than others. I think it should be the'job' of more knowledgeable members to put things straight.
  12. To be fair I only read the title if the thread so I can't be held responsible for my muppetness, week in my mind. Hope this hasn't been covered but will the mobile friendly bit resize things so it basically looks the same or will it be a different look? It's not really an issue for me as my browser converts mobile sites to desktop but word wraps things so I don't have to scroll side to side when reading posts. It's just the browser updates some times screw things up a bit.
  13. Sounds good, I must have missed that bit:blushing: It's also good to see that your not adding one of those like button things:thumbup1:
  14. Sounds like lots of good ideas and looking forward to the new site:thumbup1: If the blog section starts getting out of control can we have the option to not see it when we click todays posts, unread posts etc or have it disabled from the start and we have to enable it to see them? I think the question and answer thing could be quite good as long as the questions are relevant to the forum then the decent answers should follow (Bolam's exempt obviously)
  15. I have no experience moving from a non vat to a vat registered company but im sure you cant claim xx years worth of vat back on previous purchases. Well, I dont think you can claim every purchase back as a guy I know thought he could and was rubbing his hands, accountant soon set him straight!
  16. I was thinking that. Good to see youve decided to splash out and buy some.
  17. Possibly but I think most dont want to be there but have no choice. In my book if you 'have' to work 7 days a week then you really need to sort things out. I must admit it is very convenient shops being open almost 24 hrs a day but im sure I could easily cope without it.
  18. Imo they should go back to the way it was and close on a Sunday, give the poor buggers who work there a day off. Life is getting far too busy.
  19. Never heard or seen that before! Sounds extensive ie using a tungsten chain and also a bit more like hard work to me but I guess they must have valid reasons to do it. They weren't using the roots for other things like making tools or carvings were they?
  20. Good call on the heads up. Never used srt myself but I have always wondered about base anchors being another thing to think about. Does the additional length of rope add to any bungee effect much? Good thing he had a secondary attachment point.
  21. Which is why I think it is ridiculous to have one firm doing both jobs. They aren't really going to put much thought and effort into the tree side of things when it's something they don't want to do.
  22. London Plane:thumbdown: Yes a good idea if they are in leaf.
  23. I can remember all that, 3 strand bungee nylon rope and spongy multiplat. Those were the right bad old days, thank god for innovation. I guess if they made the zz midline detachable it would look nothing like a zz and perform nothing like a zz. There are a lot of links that need some work doing to them. not just the pulley.
  24. Apart from obviously Steve and the moderators I think another for Mr Humphries in regards to showing some of the other benefits trees bring rather than just cold hard cash.
  25. I don't keep quotes and they aren't serial numbered which would certainly help. Sometimes looking at the stats make you wonder if it's worth it, well for me anyway. Does make far better business sense to record these things though.
